Toheeb Hamzat's low finish and Kobys top tier saves just the start as the lads give an answer to last week, earning a solid point away at Rhydyfelin. MOTM going tied between Mark Hooper and the returning Isaiah Bangudu for a strong defensive display 🐝

Credit to the step up from Iestyn Evans, Keelan Hatton and Oliver Coggins from the youth squad, continuing progression and development through the set-up of the club 🐝

The lads put on their strongest performance of the season away from home at Abertridwr Park on Saturday. Upsetting the odds and taking 3 well deserved points with Jarrad Howells resuming his return from a long injury to strike late on, continuing our recent run of form! 🐝

Match Result: Cilfynydd AFC Reserves 1 - 1 Cwm Welfare AFC Reserves

The lads were held after a strong second half comeback, sealing a point courtesy of a Mathew Kingman strike from outside the box, his first goal for the club pushing the reserves higher up the table 🐝

We go again this weekend coming against high flyers Aber Valley away at Abertridwr Park.

Thanks to Cwm Welfare who left the changing room tidy and coming back showing how it should be done 🤝

MATCH RESULT: Caerphilly Athletic FC Reserves 3 - 4 Cilfynydd AFC Reserves 🐝

The lads sealed their first away win of the season with a commanding performance in tough conditions despite a late scare from the hosts. Huge 3 points and a promising showing.

We've been quiet the past few weeks due to personal commitments. But here is a recap of our September month so far:

We were defeated by Nelson Cavaliers 3-2 in a tight encounter, which due to the questionable dismissal of Cilfynydds keeper made the match hard to deal with after leading 1-0 at the break and 2-1 shortly after the dismissal. Goals came from Timmy and Shaun Bullen. POTM went to Bullen

We encountered Pontypridd AFC which we knew would be a tight affair. We fell short on the day and 2-1 was the final score. With the lads having another off day. Goal came from Timmy, continuing his good form. POTM went to Madley in goal

We then faced AFC Bargoed on a windy Monday evening where we turned up for the first time this season, our best performance of the season so far but wasn't rewarded with Bargoed taking a 1-0 lead from the 24th minute to the full time whistle. Unfortunately the lads couldn't pull anything back after performing brilliantly. POTM went to Kyle

Our luck took a turn then when facing Llanbradach AFC on the following Saturday. When we continued our good performance and added a clinical edge to get our first 3pts of the season in a commanding 6-3 victory. Goals came from Madley, 2 from Toheeb and a hat trick from on form Timmy, who also grabbed POTM.

We then faced Talbot Green away, once again the better team but we couldn't break further through their keeper on the day. We fell short in a 3-2 defeat after being the better side for the 90 but plenty of positives and promise showing we are taking huge steps and our season is finally kicking off. Goals came from Strawbs with a brace from 2 direct free kicks. POTM went to Koby, who did keep us in the match with multiple 1v1 saves and solid distribution.

We face Pontyclun FC Development at home on Saturday which will be another tough day but one we are prepared for. 2pm KO at Ponty Park 🐝
