Five years ago, in one of my journals, I wrote down this quote by Marianne Williamson:

"Until we have met the monsters in ourselves, we keep trying to slay them in the outer world. And we find that we cannot. For all darkness in the world stems from darkness in the heart. And it is there that we must do our work."

Looking back now, I can see exactly why those words resonated with me.

At the time, I was searching for answers everywhere else. I thought changing my circumstances, proving myself, achieving more, or fixing what was around me would finally bring peace.

What I've gradually learned is that the hardest work isn't building muscle, building a business, or chasing goals.

It's being willing to look honestly at yourself.
To face your fears. To acknowledge your mistakes. To heal old wounds. To take responsibility for your reactions instead of blaming the world.

That work never really ends, but every time you do it, you become a little stronger, a little calmer, and a little more authentic.

It's amazing what you find when you stop fighting the world... and start understanding yourself.

That lesson has shaped not only the person I am becoming, but also the way I coach clients and the reason Beyond The Physique has evolved into something far deeper than fitness alone.
