Sunday 13th September saw 8 club members head to a very busy Glencoe to climb Buachaille Etive Beag which was like Sauchiehall street on a Saturday afternoon. 2 new Munros for 5 of us Munro baggers. Weather was calm and dry although the summit views evaded us. Its always a great day with great company.

Torridon Youth Hostel 4th to 7th September 2026. This weekend saw 15 club members enjoy the great outdoors and everything the good old Scottish weather could offer. The rain didn't dampen our spirits but the wind sure did blow away the cobwebs. Despite the weather between us all we completed 6 Munros (new ones for some and repeats for others), 2 Corbetts, 3 tops and a few lovely low level walks and a run. We certainly made the most of the weather and enjoyed great company and chat. A few lovely cafes were located to shelter from the weather and cake sampling was a must. There were loads of laughs and sharing of stories and ideas. It's all part of the adventure. A birthday was celebrated too. All in all a great weekend in such a lovely hostel. Great to bump into Mary and her friend who were also staying for the weekend. Thank you to all who attended. Heres's to the next trip. Here are some photos of the weekend in no particular order.šŸ˜€

This Sunday 30th August saw 6 off us set off to the Borders. The Culter fell circular was the plan. 4 of us completed this long and boggy walk with great views . 2 completed Culter Fell, dropping to Glenharvie Moss, climbing Cardon Hill before retracing their steps and descending Tippet Know. One of these days where at the top of Culter Fell we discussed our onward options and decisions were made. Everyone had a great day. Great company fab day. Thanks Irene for proposing this walk. Glad we finished before the weather turned.

Sunday 23rd August. This weekend our club celebrated Iona's Compleation and what a fabulous day it was. 22 members set off on a beautiful morning to summit Stuc a Chroin from Callendar. The walk, the chat and the company made this an unforgettable day for all the right reasons. The fizz was popped and the photos taken at the summit as we sat around sharing stories and having lunch. We enjoyed a leisurely walk back the same route. A truly wonderful day.

Sunday 16th club walk. The Munros Creag Mohr and Beinn Sheasgarnich with optional Munro top of Stob Nan Clach near Killin. New hills for 6 out of the 8 of us. Challenging because of the pathless terrain the walk description said and it wasn't wrong. Although the weather wasn't as bad as the forecast had shown we still managed to have a soggy, boggy, claggy walk with no views where the good old waterproofs were put to the test. Mark and Deirdre took off from the first Munro to complete the Munro top and rejoined us for the second Munro of the day. We descended down the pathless, wet, grassy slope. Tricky in places but most definitely a better option than descending over the peat hags. The company and banter got us through this in around 10 hours. (Too miserable to hang about🤣)It was lovely to have Tina join us on her first club walk. Thanks to Deirdre for proposing this day on the hills.

A great wee hillwalk today with good old Scottish weather. 2 Munros bagged for most of us there today. Beinn a Chochuill and Beinn Eunaich Lochawe. 1221m of ascent. Pleasant ridge walk but very unpleasant descent which 2 of us decided was better tackled sliding down the grass testing out the waterproof trousers. 🤣Lovely to have Wendy along on her second club walk.
