It is with great sadness I am posting this. Our chief instructor Mr Ronnie Stuart very suddenly passed away just before Christmas.

He trained for 32 years, starting at Laurieston Club and training at the Stirling University Club where he became Chief Instructor for Sen-No-Kai Karate.

He was passionate about passing on his knowledge to all the students he taught and he will be very sadly missed by everyone who has had the privilege to train with him over the years.

If anyone wishes to pay their respects, the funeral will be held at Falkirk Crematorium (Camelon), 10:45 on Wednesday 14th January 2026.

We are delighted that Polmont Community Hub has been shortlisted for a community Fund with the opportunity to receive £30,000 to transform part of the outdoor space into a community garden and more. Tuesday 7.15pm - 8.15pm (Kids Class)
8.15pm - 9.30pm (Brown belts and above, and Adults)

Polmont karate club has been established at the Greenpark Community Centre since 1997.

We teach a style of karate called Sen-No-kai Karate which was founded by Sensei William Clark at Stirling University in 1970, this club is still running, teaching Adults and running Weekend and Summer karate courses.

Polmont Karate Club is a non-competitive (but still full contact) style of karate based on a combination of Shotokai Karate and Aikido. We incorporate all the kicks, blocks, punches and katas from karate with locks, throws, timing, harmony and movements from Aikido.

We aim to teach kids and adults a style of Martial Arts that will develop self defence, discipline, fitness and build confidence. We use Bokken and Jo training weapons to help develop our blocks, movements and timing.

If you are interested in giving it a try, just come along with jogging trousers/leggings and a t-shirt and a willingness to give it a go!!

We are holding a Christmas fair 🎄locally there has been a lot of confusion around us being open! 🤷‍♂️ countless people are telling us they had been told we were shut 🤷‍♂️😱 this event will highlight not only that - we are very much open 🙌 but we are growing 👍
This will not be our first event as a community owned hub ❤️ we had a first birthday party as our first event 🍰 yesterday 👶🏻 our next event will be a cinema night more on all that exciting news soon 👏 many of our groups have already said they are going to have stalls at our Christmas fair 🎅🏻 it’s going to be (literally)fun and games 🧑‍🎄 we can’t wait 🤶🎄
