Hey guys!

I'm Frances, fully qualified PT based in Horam and Polegate and have some spaces opened up for Spring!!! They won’t last long, so get yourself up and out and into your new routine!!!

I'm reaching out to those who want a change up, want to get back to fitness, want to build strength, mobility, power, good habits or maybe a good old lifestyle shake up!

This is a big one… ā¤ļø

Our boy took on his very first HYROX and we couldn’t be prouder.

He wasn’t even 100%. He’d eaten a dodgy chicken wing and I told him he didn’t have to do it… but he chose to step up anyway.

And he dug deep.

It wasn’t about times, or rankings (although try telling a 9 year old that!!!) it was about pushing himself out of his comfort zone! He was so nervous but desperate to do it.

These moments are bigger than sport. They’re about showing our kids what resilience looks like, how to face challenges, and how to believe in themselves.

If we lead by example, they follow. šŸ’Ŗ

So let me show you what was actually going on behind the scenes- with my heart ā™„ļø

(If you like the science bit… this one’s for you šŸ‘‡)
First bit… the warm up, anxiety and general OMG! THEN…. šŸ’„

šŸ”„ Avg HR: 174 bpm = ~89% of max
šŸ”„ Peak HR: 182 bpm = ~93% of max

So for 1 hour 28 minutes I was working just under my limit the entire time šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

🟄 Red = close to max effort
🟨 Yellow = barely any recovery

This is fitness racing in a nutshell:
šŸ‘‰ You’re not sprinting, but you’re also never really resting.

It’s a constant balance of pushing hard… without tipping over the edge

Then as soon as I’d finished ?!šŸ‘€

That drop from red into blue/grey?

That’s recovery speed šŸ’Ŗ

Which shows:
• My heart can come down quickly
• My body can clear fatigue efficiently
• I can recover just enough… to keep going again

In simple terms:
šŸ‘‰ I can suffer and recover while still moving.

So yes… I smiled 😊

But inside it was more like:
🄵 ā€œjust breatheā€
šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« ā€œkeep it togetherā€
🧠 ā€œdon’t blow up nowā€

That’s not easy and last time I didn’t do this and blew out šŸ’„ šŸ’„

That’s staying calm on the outside, while your body is working VERY hard on the inside šŸ˜šŸ”„

ANYONE can do this. Just train. Stay consistent and it’s on! āœŒļøšŸ’Ŗ
