On Friday we wrapped up an incredible season with a brilliant evening of food, drinks, speeches, videos, laughs, parents v kids football and awards.
Itโs been a hugely successful year on the pitch โ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌโ๐ฎ๐ฉ โ but just as special has been everything off it.
The girls (and the parents!) have built amazing friendships, weโve had some great socials, and even survived some questionable World Cup sweepstake drawingsโฆ yes, I pulled Qatar, with a mighty 1000/1 โchanceโ ๐ฅด.

There were plenty of thankโyous to go around, recognising all the support that makes this team what it is.
1) The matchโday heroes (plus linesmen; ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ, ๐๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ, ๐๐๐ฆ, ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ & ๐๐๐ฏ) who set up posts/respect barriers and help clear up ๐๐ผ
2) Our incredible sponsors (www.underhillengineering.co.uk, Find-me-a-car.co.uk, www.crunchcreative.co.uk) who keep us moving forward & dig deep to provide excellent equipment for the girls ๐
3) Our social queens (๐๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป, ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ป & ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐น) who plan, organise and sprinkle a bit of magic on every getโtogether. ๐ฅ ๐
4) The social media crew (๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ & ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐) who turn our season into memories we can relive time and time again ๐ซถ๐ป๐ช๐ป.
5) Our wonderful coaches who give their time, energy and effort to drive this team forward. (There are definitely times when ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐บ, ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ง & ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐น speak to each other more than they speak to their wives ๐)
We also celebrated our first captain ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฎ, and viceโcaptain ๐๐ถ๐ ๐. for their fantastic leadership throughout the season ๐๐ผ๐ดโซ๏ธ.

An example of never giving up! ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฒ plays an excellent through ball. ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ bursts onto it and smashes a lastโminute rocket to earn a 2โ2 draw โ and one of the loudest celebrations of the season โฝ๏ธ ๐

Football at its absolute best. ๐๐๐ฎ wins the ball & combines with ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ฒ & ๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐. ๐๐ถ๐ ๐ receives the ball and sends it first time out wide to ๐๐ป๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ who delivers a great cross from the left. ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ knocks it forward and ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป stretches to beat the oncoming keeper to finish with brilliant composure โฝ๏ธ ๐ฅ

This match had everything - Finding that we had 11 players just before the game! The girls walking out at Kimberley Stadium like professionals. And then the drama โ a tense 3โ2 win sealed by a late ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป winner and a whole lot of hugs and celebrations โฝ๏ธ ๐.
