A Little about us......

Plympton Victoria RFC was founded in 1994, by the merger of Plympton RFU and Victoria RFU. We currently run 1 senior side that competes in Devon Tribute 2 League and are working with 2 local schools and the RFU to launch a junior section representing Plympton and the surrounding area. The squad has a rich cocktail of exuberant youth and timeless experience, allowing everyo

ne to develop all areas of their game. We are always looking for new players of all levels and ages from 17+ years, we are also looking non-playing volunteers to help run this local club. The club offers excellent coaching, an enthusiastic management team and a group of players who work hard together on and off the pitch to support their love of rugby. New players are assured of a warm welcome and genuine interest in helping them develop any area of their game, whilst having some good times along the way. Come along and say Hello, improve your personal fitness and enjoy all that rugby in Devon has to offer!!

🚨 SPEED MERCHANT ALERT. 🚨

If Riley gets on the outside, you might as well start planning the next phase because you’re not catching him. 💨😂

A genuine speedster who already knows how to cause problems, but this season Riley wants more than just being the bloke who runs fast.

🎯 Improving his all-round game.
🏉 Learning different positions.
🧠 Taking on advice and willing to learn.
⚡ Ready to put his foot down.

And with that kind of pace, we're expecting a few defenders to be left wondering where the hell he went. 👀

🚨 GAME CANCELLED — BUT THE SHOW GOES ON! 🚨

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s PVRFC v OPM Jesters pre-season friendly has been cancelled, with the opposition unable to raise a side.

The lads are understandably gutted 😔 — they’ve been putting in the work and were desperate to get out there and pull on the red, black & yellow.

But one thing this squad isn’t going to do is let it affect the spirits. 💪

So… if we can’t play rugby, we’ll find another way to put the work in! 👊

🏉 Extra training session — get the bodies moving and keep building.

🍻 Then it’s time for some serious team “bonding” up at the Legion. 👀

Because building a team isn’t just about what happens on the pitch.

We head into our first pre-season friendly against OPM Jesters as the lads finally get the chance to put all that hard work at training to the test.

Jack Higgleton.

An absolute unit who appears to have taken personal offence to the concept of defenders getting in his way. 💀

Give him the ball and watch the metres disappear. 💨💪 There’s nothing quite like seeing Jack running with ball in hand — mainly because everyone else is usually running away from him.

But this season is different.

Jack's got a point to prove.

He’s coming for that starting shirt, and he’s clearly decided that the easiest way to get it is to make himself impossible to leave out.

Part of the furniture. 🪑

Dan Warne is one of those players who has been around so long, you’d probably have to check the changing room before kicking him out. 😂

A unit in the pack, Dan brings power, physicality and plenty of hard running — exactly what you want from a forward.

But there’s just one problem…

He can’t help trying to be a back. 🤣

And with a right foot reminiscent of the world’s greatest fly-halves, who can blame him? Whether that’s a pinpoint cross-field kick or an ambitious 50-metre punt that nobody asked for… Dan is always looking for the opportunity! 🦶🏉
