Asha Francis will be leading the Bryanston Netball Performance Camp, offering expert coaching, positional sessions, fitness work and match play in a high-performance environment.

💚❤️ And did you know… netball talent runs in the family! We are incredibly lucky to have Asha’s mum, sharontett coaching with us on Thursdays at club. Sharon has also coached in Singapore, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our players. Such a small world and a privilege to have her involved with the club! 🌍🏐

Mid-Devon Cup Tournament ⭐️🏆
A brilliant day for our U10 Phoenix team, who finished 2nd place in the Cup and an incredible 2nd overall out of 24 teams! 🥈👏

CPOM – Zara B ⭐ working tirelessly in all positions.

The players started the day with a 2-2 draw in their opening game before quickly finding their rhythm and winning their next three matches convincingly. In a tight final group game, their work rate was second to none all over the court. Working brilliantly as a team, they secured a 3-2 victory to top their group.

Into the quarter-finals, the players continued to play with great determination and energy, earning a fantastic win to book their place in the semi-finals. Despite tiring legs and the hot conditions, they dug deep to secure a 2-2 draw before showing great composure to win the shootout and progress to the final.

There they faced familiar opponents, Ivybridge Stars. Knowing they had a tough challenge ahead, the players worked tirelessly from start to finish. With some outstanding intercepts, two excellent goals and some fantastic passages of play, they narrowly missed out on victory, losing 4-2.

Overall, this was a fantastic display of teamwork, determination and resilience. Every player gave absolutely everything and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. To finish 2nd in the Cup and 2nd overall from 24 teams is an amazing achievement.

A huge well done to all the players – your energy, support for one another and never-give-up attitude were a credit to the club. Team - you should all be so proud! 🔥🖤❤️

🏐 Mid-Devon Tournament 🏐
A fantastic day for our U10 Griffins (Year 5), who finished an impressive 12th out of 24 teams! 👏❤️

⭐️ CPOM – Zara
For her smooth shooting skills and incredible work rate throughout the day.

Match report - Despite the warm conditions, the girls showed brilliant determination and adapted superbly to the High 5 format, covering more court than they are used to and never letting their effort levels drop.

Game 1 was a closely contested encounter, with Marley working the ball brilliantly into the D. Despite a narrow 1-0 defeat, the team showed great promise from the start.

In Match 2, Heidi and Evelyn defended tirelessly to secure a hard-earned 0-0 draw.

The goals started flowing in Match 3, with Mila and Zara combining beautifully to score five goals and secure a fantastic 5-0 victory.

Match 4 saw Griffins start strongly, with Evelyn supporting brilliantly at C. Although the opposition fought back, the girls battled right to the end in a competitive 3-1 game.

Against a strong side in Match 5, Mathilda worked tirelessly through centre to feed the shooters, with the scoreline not reflecting the effort and determination shown by the team.

Moving into the Plate competition, Maggie and Phoebe tracked their players brilliantly and hunted down loose balls with great energy.

Griffins then produced another excellent performance with a 4-0 win. Zara and Mila were sharp in front of goal once again, while Marley put in a superb display at GK, marking the opposition shooter out of the game.

The final match was a thriller. Heidi levelled the score with a fantastic long-range effort, Phoebe supported brilliantly in the D, Mathilda used her height to great effect in defence and Maggie moved the ball through court with ease. Despite conceding in the closing seconds, the girls can be incredibly proud of their performance.

Throughout the day, every player displayed fantastic teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship. Their fitness, skill and determination were outstanding, and they represented Plymouth Firebirds brilliantly.

👏 Two wins, a draw and countless moments to be proud of.

Mid Devon Tournament 2026 - U12 Griffins Year 6 team
Ranked 6th of 24 teams and made it into the top round of the Cup. Great work team. 👏🏼

CPOM - Robyn - for fantastic work rate across the mid court and pin point feeds to the goal circle.

Overall- Firebirds Griffins took a little while to wake up and settle into their first match. Sharpening up after half time and tidying up ball placement meant the team were able to come away with a first win 4-2.

The next pool match saw the tram line up against a familiar team in Musketeers Blaze. The team appeared much more settled being and careful to land well and take time to make good decisions. This paid off with a 10-4 win.

Firebirds next pool match saw them meet Queens Mavericks. The team combined well and applied their learning from the first 2 matches to come away with a 6-1 win.

The team next faced TTNC Phoenix who were a well-drilled and tidy Year 7 side. Griffins struggled to move the ball through court combined with a lapse in concentration saw us slip to a 15-3 loss.

The final pool match was a tight tussle again Exeter Pink Rockets. The girls stayed on task and hustled well to come away with a 5-3 win.

This saw us finish 2nd in our pool and move through to the Cup competition.

The first match against CA Rubies saw the team slow to get going after the break. At times appearing less connected, Griffins struggled to convert turnovers. This proved costly as owing to a central timing correction, a much improved second half performance could not recover the deficit in the 3 mins available and Griffins lost 1-7.

The next match saw Griffins return to winning ways and battle hard to win 3-2.

The final match for 5/6th position saw Griffins meet Ivy Lynx. After a slow start, and struggling a bit in the hot sun, Griffins were unable to find their earlier form and this was unfortunate loss.

Well done to all the girls, some great passages of play on a hot morning. 6th overall for a year 6 team in an U12 tournament is a great result and we look forward to seeing more from this dynamic group.
