Later is better than never. You didn't make the 5:30 start then go 10:00 and continue as normal. Get that habbit in place no matter the time or weather and you'll only progress!

All I'm saying is that it's perfectly normal to 'feel' like you don't have it in you to do what it takes to achieve your goals at times but it's all in your head! Do a practise run to relieve the level of power procrastination has over you and you will enjoy it again.

For anyone that knows a Type one diabetic please share....

Be a winner πŸ†

Pre bolus timing (20 mins)
Lower fat making carbs more manageable
Meal planning and weighing
AM ab workout and potien shake
Daily Phys - insulin sensitivity (circuits&running)
No milk
High fibre and low GI carbs only
Fasting between meals
Be fully hydrated all day every day
Keep diabetes bloods and food diary.

Download and review your statistics weekly and correlate that with your food diary, giving yourself one or two elements to work on the following week

Set yourself a goal that is larger than you and requires you to have your s**t together.... I'm not going to be a trusted mountain leader team without having my life in order.

Do blood tests 3:00 after your pre meal bolus and if your bloods are not on target make your adjustment.

Be 85% Diabetic and you will not suffer diabetes burn out. It's a marathon not a sprint. And give yourself a pat on the back for not allowing your condition to be your identity.

Don't over educate yourself too fast as it takes time and you don't want to feel like it's too much to deal with. eg A job description isn't taken literally, it's lived through.

Always take your bloods before bed and make any corrections, this improves sleep quality and enables handling diabetes issues through the day. Good sleep is key.

Fatigue is probably the number one reason for failure after being fully educated and having experienced the benefits of great sugar levels you just need to find a way to rest (have a break from being on it all the time). Still working this one out!

That's another Crapstone run in the bag.on Friday evening set your alarm. Saturday morning just get up and go! No one expects a high performance but it's a massive win for you. You may even be surprised with how much you enjoy it and the positive affects it has on your whole Saturday rather than just having a 'lye in and dragging your ass out of bed. You're having a coffee and a croissant at 09:30 and still not fully awake. Get up and go, you've got to bead to believe (sweat dripping down your forehead). You go girl! 😜

Smashed out a circuit today. Understanding the link between perceived exertion, heat rate and muscular fatigue. Your fitness session is like a bucket of water and you don't want it to overflow, you want to enjoy the experience and enable optimal work and rest periods to become an animal in the gym and still function highly in your day to day requirements. Correct Calories and glycogen stores will also have an affect on your performance as will your recovery habits. Alot of info but in a nutshell get yourself down the gym πŸ’ͺ

This morning I had nerves. I knew it was gym day and the longer I dragged it out the more nerves would get the better of me. In photos one and two the nerves were there (invisible to others). I de-iced the car and made it happen and the nerves didn't leave until I was in my fitness gear and doing a warm up. Once in the gym I was invited to a circuit class that if I'm honest proved I have a fair amount of work to do before I can be happy with my own levels of fitness but I went along never the less. Then afterwards in the change rooms I felt great and was relieved from any nerves. Even going for a coffee with Kris Darling . I was more immersive in conversations we had all because I made it happen.
I'm just showing that nobody is aware of what's going on inside of you but getting whatever you 'need' to do early will free you up to enjoy the rest of the day.
So just get it done πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ»
