Did you know that the Plymouth Enhanced Bus Partnership is trialling new braille and audio-visual resources to make bus travel more accessible?
The trial launched on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 and will last approximately 6 months.
This trial aims to help blind and visually impaired passengers, as well as other bus users, to travel more independently and with confidence.
All braille and audio-visual trial materials have been produced by All Things Dotty, a Plymouth-based company, specialising in producing accessible information.

🚌 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀
All Things Dotty, in collaboration with Plymouth City Council have launched "Accessible Bus Stops". Timetables are available printed, brailled and available for people to scan using QR codes, giving access to audio timetable information at Plymouth Citybus Travel Centre on Royal Parade.
There are also Braille bus stop signs available on all bus stops at Derriford Hospital and the Royal Eye Infirmary allowing visually impaired people to find out where they are and where they need to go.
This is a trail, to help blind and visually impaired passengers, travel more independently, so feedback vital in making public transport information more accessible.
