Gradual return to heavy lifting after being pregnant!

Well done Angela!

Achilles and I were so proud!

Find a way to do what you love and this girl likes kicking ass (boxing video next week) and chucking iron about.

Happy birthday to Max!

His last day of being 14! In this session he squatted 4 sets of 5 repetitions at 120kg

Then finished the strength element of the session with some singles at 130kg!

This man should be so proud of the journey he has been on after we started working together to fix some shoulder issues.

He has turned himself into a beast.

4 weeks post sugery had a small set back with some hamstring spasms mid to late last week so haven't been overly aggressive with the rehab.

From next week I will be taking easy and won't be pushing progress, as sometime around week 5 - 7 the graft is at its structural weakest.

Ok so enough of my rehabilitation has been shown to last untill next week. Here is Toby showing continuous improvement in his training.

The story continues:

Left: knee, ankle and hip stability progression form Toby's last video. I had to shorten the video, but he completes 2 pistol squats then lateral jump and landing practice on both sides.

Right: Plyometric progression; the single leg hops are half a foot futher apart and the double leg hurdles are 2 notches higher.

Week 2/3 post operation:

Top left: cycling at 140BPM for 20mins. This has two benefits, 1) it is the beginning of getting back to a decent level of cardiovascular fitness. 2) it is a great way of increasing range of motion.

Top right: knee stability and eccentric loading.

Bottom: a bit of electrical muscle stimulation in the hope that it will prevent muscle atrophy.

This is Toby, the newest addition to the Servis Strength youth development team!

He has an incredible base level of athleticism, so has progressed quickly.

Plyometric progression 6

Great work Toby!

In 2 weeks the team will be out learning sprint mechanics, video to follow.
