Today we celebrate the women who refuse to stay tied to the dock.

The tide is turning because of women who dare to go further, push harder, and prove that the sea belongs to everyone.

Our patron Pip Hare Ocean Racing shows us what fearless determination looks like on the world stage, grit, courage and relentless belief.

And Jaz Turner a sailor who doesn’t just challenge expectations, she smashes straight through them. Every mile she sails is a reminder that limits are often just stories waiting to be rewritten.

Today isn’t just about celebrating women.
It’s about celebrating strength, resilience and the power of people who change what’s possible.

Here’s to the women who navigate storms, chase horizons and inspire the next generation to step aboard.

Happy International Women’s Day.
The wind is rising, and so are we. ⛵💜 ⭐️

Leg 4 is officially finished for UNICEF, and we have clinched 2nd place! 🥈🎉

What an amazing showing from our crew!

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the finish line was declared at Virtual Mark Kulow - full story on why from Clipper below:

‘North Queensland including Airlie Beach is currently experiencing a developing tropical storm that has formed to its north, causing torrential rain, poor visibility and gale force wind with big squalls.
The Race Management Team has been watching this weather system closely as tropical storms like this can have cyclonic tendency. There has been growing concern that this would impact the safety of the yachts and the imminent Race Finish, especially due to the challenging navigation in this area.

Yesterday Race Director, Dale Smyth, instructed all yachts to declare the passing of waypoint 14 (Virtual Mark Kulow) at bearing 230T in case there was a need to retrospectively use this for the finish results.
Dale has now concluded that for the safety of the fleet and its Race Crew, Virtual Mark Kulow will be used as the Finish Line for Stage 5. This will allow the fleet to sail slowly and with extra caution through the Great Barrier Reef area and remaining Mandatory Gates. With the visibility poor, and gusts into the forties, it will remove the pressure of racing in the trickiest section of the stage.

With Teams GOSH and UNICEF already passing Virtual Mark Kulow and making their declarations earlier today, we can announce that they have taken first and second place on Stage 5: Sta-Lok Endurance Test. A huge congratulations to both on a cracking race.
The remainder of the fleet will now race towards the finishing mark before continuing a safety-first approach in Airlie Beach.’

We have received the very sad news that, due to her deteriorating health, Jazz Turner has unfortunately had to withdraw from the World Star 2026.

We know just how much this race meant to Jazz. She has been working tirelessly to pull things together and had recently found the perfect backer along with the perfect boat to enable her to fulfil her dreams.

The devastating reality of her condition has unfortunately taken over and now Jazz needs to focus on her and all those around her.

Jazz Turner, you are a truly remarkable young lady and have touched so many people's lives, not least your new friends at WorldStar HQ.

Always here for you ❤️
