Interest in the Instructor post at JSSADC is good with several applications already started. The closing date is 19th June so plenty of time to throw your hat in the ring if you fancy a rewarding job delivering diver training at some of the South West's best dive sites.

Let's hope this weather blows through before Tuesday to enable the SADS assessment candidates the chance to experience some of the fine diving on offer outside of the Sound. If not we still have great challenging and beautiful sites to dive within the confines of the Sound. Torpoint ferry a bit bouncy this morning!

So the first Supervisor Requalification (SRQ) course of 2026 finishes early this week. The weather change didn't offer us the best options for getting beyond the Sound but we persevered. That's another Army SADS sorted for the next 5 years.
The JSAT Diving Community still needs more SADS and DSADS so why not give it a try.

Another appeal to the JSAT community. I need a Sports Diver or above ideally dived up to 30m and CFAT qualified next Wednesday and possibly Thursday. Also the following week diving Tuesday to Thursday if we have enough to make a dive team. DSADS or SADS would be very helpful. Email me at work if possible so I don't miss if you only reply on here. Good week of challenging diving this week due to weather constraints but really productive and enjoyable dive experiences achieved.
The best bit for the JSAT Diving Community is we now have 3 new Supervisors (SADS) to facilitate JSAT Diving. 2 x RN and 1 x Army.

If you have recieved emails about the BSAC elections and AGM and think cant be bothered to vote or engage. I urge you to do so. It doesnt take long to do and can make a difference to how your membership money is spent. My vote goes to Dave George as I think he will be a great addition to Council and understands our specific JSAT community needs, but you can vote for who you like and for more than one candidate. Worth a couple of minutes of your time to login and vote.

The JSAT Diving delivery and assurance team have just completed the annual collaborative work up training period iaw JSP286 Pt2 Vol 8.
This year the team utilised the ComMAC Blu-Dive Centre in Northern Sardinia. 166 dives were completed with independent Instructor and Supervisor QA reviews completed. Additionally diver development and qualification courses were completed.
BluDive Center is currently a SADS led expedition base for T3 expeditions, however is scheduled to crossover and become a BSAC Centre to facilitate full ComMAC delivery status. Check out their website for details of the diving available. The marine parks are certainly worth getting in your logbooks.
All of the JSAT Diving delivery Centres look forward to welcoming you in 2026. Check out the AATG OBS for course opportunities.
