👑🎄 GALACTICOS CHRISTMAS BOWLING 🎄👑

We hope that you've all enjoyed a great Christmas. Here's what our teams got up to... enjoying a festive bowl.

Not just a team... the club and families all took over ten pin, building more memories and more relationships in what was a fun filled afternoon/evening for all. When we say we're more than a football club, we mean it!

This was our second Christmas as a club, there were strikes, misses and trick shots as well as the arcades and pool tables taking a hit too.

A very Merry Christmas to our football family x

⚽️👑 GALACTICOS ROUND UP 👑⚽️

7️⃣s vrs YMCA - kindly sponsored by Student Choice Plymouth

The Galacticos Under 7s really were at the races last weekend and couldn't tinued to show their improved togetherness, ambition and football as they took on opponents YMCA in a friendly. Plenty of goals in this one scored by Azrazad, Kallis & Byrne

9️⃣s vrs Tavistock Blacks kindly sponsored by Mayflower launderette dry cleaners & BKB

Its always good to play tough opposition as Galacticos 8s faced Tavistock from league 1. While the object is not always to go out and win the game its to show what every player strives to become, work towards and benefit from moving the ball faster, being ready to react and stringer in the challeng.. While the game was a tough one, Galacticos worked hard and had their chances.

Tavistock were clinical in attack but man of the match Ashley kept them at bay for long periods.

1️⃣4️⃣s vrs Marjons kindly sponsored by JEC Property Group & Brunel View

Galacticos 0-16 Marjons

A tough outing for the 14s as they struggled to get into gear playing with a depleted team and 10 players for long periods, as well as having a long time away from the game the momentum just wasn't there.

Galacticos didnt manage to get going and if anything fell further behind with heads dropping.

1️⃣5️⃣s vrs Hunter District kindly sponsored by Sports Cards Direct & Legends Lounge

Galacticos 6-2 Hunter

The 100% record is still going and FC Galacticos under 15s temain unbeaten in the league and cup this season.

It was Mohammed who stole the headlines in what was a competitive but comfortable game for the home side. Mohammed bagged 6 goals in total with assists from Randle, Gargett and Lindsey putting the ball into areas for Mohammed to finish off.

It was a great way for the 15s to finish the year, setting them up nicely for whats to come in 2026.

1️⃣8️⃣s vrs AFC Plympton kindly sponsored by AO

The under 18s let this one slip away from them in tough conditions on a difficult pitch the game made it all even.

Plympton pulled away with the match in the end which leaves the 18s sitting in 6th place with some games in hand to try and pull things back.

7️⃣s
The Under 7s Athletico team play in a winter league friendly against YMCA. It will be another close game for Athletico who have selected a squad to increase game time for all of the players.

8️⃣s
The under 8s come together in order to stay under the maximum gametime in two matches throughout the day.

The first versus a Horrabridge team who set off early for the 9am kick off. The second is a round robin versus Granby, Ivybridge and one other additional side. A day full of football for these players.

9️⃣s
Galacticos Under 9s head the other way to Tavistock where they face Tavistock Blacks at Crowndale. The full squad will look to continue from their performance from last weekend where they clicked in many ways.

1️⃣4️⃣s
The 14s will be excited at playing some football again after a large amount of games being postponed. They face Marjons at Sheridan Gardens. Marjons currently sit in 4th place in the league having only one defeat this season. Galacticos in 8th could actually leapfrog their opponents with a win!

With just 11 players available for this match, its going to take all players to pull together and work until the final whistle to get a result.

1️⃣5️⃣s
The 15s will also been keen to get back to action as they take on Hunter District in the 1230 kick off at Sheridan Gardens. Hunter come into the game unbeaten in their last 3 games with some good victories along the way. They sit in 3rd place in the league with 4 wins from 7.

Galacticos on the other hand remain unbeaten and will seek to keep it this way. They will be without Erensayin who is still recovering from injury, but will be bolstered by the return of Stronach as well as others who have shifted niggling injuries to be fully fit.

1️⃣8️⃣s
Sundays game sees the Under 18s face AFC Plympton who are 2nd in the league. Galacticos having only played 5 games this season have a lot to catch up on as they chase the pack above them. They can put themselves right in the title race with a few wins from their games in hand and they will be glad to get back onto the pitch.

Good luck to all of our teams.

REX WELLINGTON

Sponsored by Student Choice Plymouth

Over the past month, Rex has truly come into his own and established himself as a natural centre back in our 5-a-side team. He’s become a real problem for opposing attackers thanks to his incredible work rate, determination, and fearless approach to tackling.
Rex’s consistency is one of his biggest strengths — he trains hard, is always available for matches, and brings a brilliant attitude every week. He’s well-behaved, passionate about the game, and constantly eager to improve.
We’ve been focusing on helping Rex drive the ball forward from the back, and he’s developing wonderfully in this area. He’s starting to read the game more confidently and is growing into a dependable presence in defence.
Some standout moments this month came against strong sides like Morley Rangers and MAP. Rex took on tough marking duties, sticking tightly to their striker and preventing them from getting shots away or breaking into our box. His hard work to protect the keeper, especially against tougher opposition, shows his growing maturity and understanding of the game.
Well done, Rex — a fantastic month and a well-deserved Player of the Month! Keep up the great work!

U7 Real
OLIVER HOPKINSON

Sponsored by Student Choice Plymouth

Oliver has really come out of his shell and is now flourishing in any role on the pitch. His workrate and effort is clear to see and he's been rewarded with his first goals for the club and a traditional knee slide celebration!

He's a great listener and always willing to learn, plays with a smile, amd supports the team in every way possible.

An amazing November for Oliver, well done!

U8 Athletico
HARRY GRIFFEY

Sponsored by C&F Building and Landscaping

Harry is a great listener in training and matches and always working hard. He has put in some great defensive performances, being strong on the ball and winning it back for the team.

Well done Harry

U8 Real
JAMIE HODGESS

Sponsored by C&F Building and Landscaping

Jamie has shown real grit and determination over November, also contributing some brilliantly taken goals. Playing in a slightly deeper position to accommodate other players in the team, Jamie has brought a different dimension to his play, developing his football IQ to influence the game with clever passes and thoughtful movement. The pinnacle was a superb hat trick in one of our games, where he repeatedly caused problems for their defence. His low centre of gravity, quick feet and fantastic variety of shooting has allowed him to bag 4 goals for the Real over the course of the month. This has prompted an upturn in fortune for the team, where their excellent performances are finally starting to manifest in more positive results.

Well done Jamie

U9
CHARLIE OLDHAM

The Pete Kearney Trophy

Charlie has had a really strong month and continues to impress with his ever-consistent performances on match days.

His pace and eye for goal have helped the team a lot, making him a constant threat going forward and a valuable player all over the pitch. He’s a great character to have around the team — always positive, polite to coaches, parents and players, and always asking good questions to help him improve.

He never complains, just gets on with the job and gives absolutely everything in both training and matches. Even when he starts on the bench, he’s very eager to play and ready to make an impact the moment he’s called on.

Charlie is a fantastic member of the team and a brilliant example to others. Well done, Charlie O fully deserved!

U14
HARRY MITCHELL

Sponsored by Alphabet Signs Plymouth

Novembers Player of the Month goes to a lad who has made huge progress in his chosen position. He pulled off some great saves in Novembers first game of the and made a big impact in that winning fixture, with the lack of games following this due to postponed matches, his effort and performance in training is clear to see, from last season upto now, huge improvements have been made, along side being a Galacticos he strives to consistently improve and this is backed by his extra training he attends. He's polite and respectful to the coaches and his teammates and always sees a positive in his game. His position is a hard one to fill and takes a strong mind and plenty of courage to fulfil it, and he does this with flying colours. He's the young man between the posts, our Number 1 Harry Mitchell

U15
BAILEY DARCH

Without question Bailey is a talented player and brings speed, determination and skill to the team. His influence during matches inspired others to play with confidence and creativity. His calm nature also passes across to team mates.

His ability to take players on with a short burst of pace has enabled him to create and score chances for the team with 5 goal involvements this season there will be plenty more to come from Bailey as the season continues.

👑⚽️ GALACTICOS ROUND UP ⚽️👑

✅️ Last 16 for the men
✅️ Friendlies Galore
✅️ Washout for many fixtures

7️⃣s

Real took part in a friendly at YMCA where they enjoyed a great match with goals at either end battling through the icy conditions in what was an early kick off. It's great to continue to play throughout the winter and keep the development and momentum going.

8️⃣s

A double friendly for the under 8s as on Friday night bith teams took part in the 4 way friendlies meeting each other too! Some improvements again on the pitch meant thet Real were ready to go when they faced Plymouth Argyle in Sundays friendly.

A great start in difficult conditions saw them get a real foothold in the game. This was an amazing experience to see what the higher level players (at this time) had to offer. The players and coaches took away loads from the game to put into their own matchdays and practices.

9️⃣s

The under 9s put on a real show on the weekend really showing whats to come as they continue to really pushing themselves to improve.

One, twos, passing, movement, determination and teamwork were all on display. Thunderous strikes rattling the uprights as well as timely saves from Ashley in the net wearing his lucky cap! It really was an impressive display with goals coming from Kearney x2, Azrazad and Mohammed.

Mens

With all other fixtures postponed on the weekend the men didnt disappointed with a fantastic start to their cup match at Plymstock School. Going 5 goals up in the first 20 minutes the game was pretty much complete by this stage.

Goals from Clarke, McGill, Smith and a hatrick from Wilson sealed in the 89th minute completed a comfortable and crucial win for the mens team who now enter the last 16 teams for this competition.

👑⚽️ FC Galacticos - Weekend Action ⚽️👑

It looks as though the weather has beaten a couple of fixtures this weekend with the Under 14s and 15s both called off with the men having now moved venues to 3G their home matches should now be in full flow.

FRIDAY
1700 - U8 Real - Friday night tournament
1700 - U8 Ath - Friday night tournament

SATURDAY
0900 - U7 Real vrs Elburton Villa (Plymstock School)
1200 - U9 vrs Elburton Villa (Stoke Dameral)

SUNDAY
1030 - Men vrs Admiral McBride (Plymstock 3G)
1400 - U18 vrs Ivybridge Town (Ivybridge)

7️⃣s Real - Real take on Elburton Villa at Plymstock School in another winter fixture to keep their momentum going. They will be without Johns as well as D'Crus who is still nursing an injury.

8️⃣s Real and Athletico both were in action this evening as they took part in a 4 team round robin which also included YMCA and Elburton Villa. Both teams continue their Friday night development and would have enjoyed playing each other in a more competitive match.

9️⃣s - A midday kick off for our under 9s sees them face Elburton Villa at Stoke Dameral. Facey and Oldham will both be missing for the match but they will hope to see the passion and intensity that saw them play in a thrilling game last weekend.

1️⃣8️⃣s - Sunday afternoon its 4th (Ivybridge) v 5th (Galacticos) in what should be a cracker. Ivybridge having played two more games than the Galacticos sees them sitting 6 points above them, which puts even more emphasis on this fixture. The Galacticos should have had plenty of rest with no fixtures for a short period.

Mens - 3rd placed Admiral Mcbride take on the Galacticos who have slipped in form recently and having the distraction of the cup competitions has seen the Galacticos slip to 6th in the league. McBride are still unbeaten this season with five wins and two draws, one of which was against Galacticos earlier in the season.

Good luck to everyone this weekend.

No games for many teams last weekend as the 14s, 15s & 18s were without a game, the 8s, Mens and Vets postponed, it was down to the under 7s and under 9s to take charge.

7️⃣s Real - took part in a friendly at YMCA where they had a great game against the hosts. More goals, more passing and positional play allowed them to flourish.

7️⃣s Athletico took part in a tournament at Stoke Dameral.

First game against lakeside was a tough encounter against Lakside but Galacticos picked themselves up and went forward.

Second game vrs MAP the players did us proud and scored, goals from Leo, Sammy and Ted.

Third game with Elm was a tight affair and there wasn't much between the teams. Goal from Leo

The final vrs YMCA
YMCA scored first but Galacticos back strong in the second half with goals from Ted and Leo

Couple Assists from Winstons drop kick and a couple assists from Ted getting the ball into the box.

9️⃣s
Kelliwick Youth Tigers v FC Galacticos

An early Saturday start and a long journey to Callington, but the commitment from everyone was outstanding, arriving with a full squad and great support on the sidelines. The effort was matched by an exciting, high-quality game of football from both teams.

FC Galacticos made a strong start, taking full advantage of the downhill slope. Their passing and movement were impressive, and they created multiple opportunities. Despite some excellent saves from Ralphie.

Defensively, Jenson, Lenny, and Archie showed strength and resilience, putting in strong tackles and staying organized at the back. Cruz delivered another disciplined display, distributing the ball intelligently both wide and through the middle to launch attacks.

Thomas was everywhere his energy levels were outstanding, constantly running, tackling, and adapting to different roles across the pitch. His all round contribution earned him the Manager’s Man of the Match award.

Kelliwick came out with renewed energy, knowing they had the advantage of playing down hill. Charlie O carried confidence into the game, taking on players, driving forward, and providing a few key assists. His link-up with Sacha was excellent, as Sacha produced another hat-trick performance, three well-taken goals, full of sharp movement, determination, and great runs.

Youssef put in a superb shift down the flank, causing problems throughout and earning the Opponents’ Man of the Match recognition.
Charlie F added pace and creativity, beating defenders, delivering dangerous crosses, and working hard both forward and back.
Guilani once again showed his flair, dazzling defenders with skillful feet and smart movement.

The match remained tight all the way through. Galacticos created several chances, especially in the first half and were unlucky not to convert a penalty. But overall, there were plenty of positives and real hunger from every player to get on the pitch and make an impact.

A thrilling game full of goals, effort, and entertainment. FC Galacticos can take enormous pride in their performance. Encouraging play, great teamwork, and lots to build on, no reason to be downbeat. A thoroughly enjoyable match and a fantastic effort from all involved.

7️⃣s

Real face YMCA in a friendly at All Saints Academy. They faced YMCA in a pre season friendly but now face their other team in this encounter.

Athletico visit Stoke Dameral for an 8 team Tournament. This will certainly give them the minutes on the pitch as they play against some good opposition in what they will hope will be a productive day.

8️⃣s

Real and Athletico both go to Manadon for 1230pm kick offs on Saturday, but not to face each other.

Real take on Keyham and Callington while Athletico face Southgate and Morley Rangers.

Real will be without the in form goalscoring machine Pengelly, while Athletico will miss Wilson and Stewart for their games.

9️⃣s

The 9s have the long trip to Stoke Climsland to play Kelliwick FC. A full squad for this one will mean they can give it their all and hope to continue to shine on the pitch.

Theyve really worked hard over the past weeks and have been determined to improve.

MENS

The Galacticos Men have another cup fixture this weekend and will hope to get past the post in this one, after exiting the County Cup last time out. They head to Lee Moor to play Tamar View, who currently sit in 5th place in Division One while the Galacticos come from Division 3.

Another cup upset on the cards?

VETS

The Vets will be without doubt in for a good game against HASP on Sunday afternoon. They have some substitutes for this one which they will hope will make a difference in what should be an emphatic encounter to see who can make it through to the next round of the cup competition.

With lots of players back available it gives the manager plenty more options on the pitch.

👑 Last Weekend 👑

With the under 8s Athletico, under 14s, under 18s and vets team all without a game, as well as the postponements of the under 15s and under 7s Real last weekend was a very quiet affair.

8️⃣s Real kindly sponsored by DCS welding and fabrication & in memory of Uncle Bud.

FC Galactico U8s played a round robin tournament hosted brilliantly again by Elburton Villa Youth. The freezing conditions didnt put the players off and in the first game, Real matched the very physical approach from MAP U9 girls. Lots of really combative tackles going in but Real were able to match their slightly older opponents. Phillips-Homes and Dolphin sharing the goal keeping and both showed good technique to keep the game goaless.

With Lamerton again showing excellent work rate and Rogerson and Dobrosnan keeping things tight at the back, Real were able to break through the MAP defence on a number of occasions with Hodgess claiming a hat trick with some brilliantly taken goals. He showed real skill and balance to work his way through some tough MAP defending before regaining composure to finish superbly. A good start to the evenings football. Great attitude and endeavour from both teams played in a competitive but sporting manner.

In the 2nd game, Galacticos faced up against a well drilled and talented Hunters District. With former Galactico Loss pulling the strings for them in midfield, Real knew they were in for a tough game. With things evenly matched, organisation and hard work was key, Knight epitimising this with an excellent work rate and attitude to close Hunter District players down. It was from one of these presses that the ball bounced to Pengelly, who smashed the ball on the half volley into the roof of the net. A really tight and competitive game, excellently refereed by Loss Senior.

The third and final game of the evening brought Real up against a well drilled and skillful Elburton Youth team. With the Elburton players showing some excellent technical ability and positional play, it was tough going for Real. Rogerson again made a series of important and decisive interventions. Both Dolphin and Phillips-Homes made good saves..

An excellent run by a Villa finally broke the Real back line and a sublime finish. Real were not but off and continued to work hard and create opportunities, with two shots squirming along the Elburton goal line. Again, a really good performance from both teams which was a treat for the watching parents and spectators.

A great evenings work for Real, thank you to all the parents braving the very bitter and cold conditions. All three games were a good watch and thank you to the teams involved for their workrate, spirit and application.

And finally, thank you to Elburton Villa Youth for inviting us along again. A really well run evening with great experience for all taking part, all played in a friendly but competitive spirit.

On a very wet morning against strong opposition, the FC Galacticos put in a performance full of effort, resilience and great attitude. After our original fixture was cancelled, it was a valuable opportunity to give the boys minutes in new positions and continue their development.

YMCA were clinical with their finishing, and slightly quicker reactions in key areas proved the main difference. Despite this, the Galacticos worked tirelessly from start to finish and never let their heads drop.

Dunne stepped up brilliantly to cover for Ashley in goal and did an amazing job. Lenton and Reed started strongly at the back with some confident passing. When Nankivell and Mohammed rotated in, they brought great energy, movement and solid defensive moments.

Kearney was outstanding in midfield once again, showing great movement from a corner before striking superbly to score, and deservedly earned the opponents’ Man of the Match award.

Oldham’s determination, battling qualities and clever movement—especially down the left—earned him a well-taken goal and the manager’s MOTM.

Azrazad showed relentless energy and passion throughout, while Facey added his trademark strength and drive. El-Mashwary also produced some nice touches and a solid shift.

With constant rotation in the friendly setup, every player enjoyed good minutes on the pitch and contributed positively.

A tough test, but lots to build on and plenty of encouraging signs from all the boys. Well done, Galacticos!

The mens County Cup Game was a thrilling affair against Tech Surveys. The match was going Galacticos way after the first 45 minutes saw them take a 3-2 lead with goals from Wilson x2 and Cuzner.

However, decisions began to go towards the home team which left the game heading in one direction as Tech managed to equalise before adding a further two to send them through to the next round.
