A sunny Sunday in Salcombe 😍

The first summer 2026 regatta for the club, and hopefully the first of many race victories for our new race boat Iris (built by the talented .eastcornwalloars )

Thanks to for a great regatta and some great racing! Also a big thank you as always to our team of towers and coxes for allowing it all to happen 😘

Cattewater results:

Mens Vets: 5th

This coming weekends racing:

Saturday: Super Vets champs
Sunday: Rock regatta

The club are also taking part in the Boatfest event based out of Yacht Haven on Saturday - if you fancy meeting some of the gang and giving gig rowing a go 😘

Another fantastic Sunday with our Get in a Gig rowers! The ladies smashed it this evening, even hitting race pace for a couple of strokes 💪💪

Our first 2026 Get in a Gig session completed!!! The weather gods were finally on our side and we managed to get 8 new rowers out 💪💪

Fantastic rowing by everyone and massive thank you to the club members for giving up 2 hours of your day to make this happen!

Scillies 2026 Day 2 - done!

The weather was much better than forecasted, and the rowing by our crews more than matched it 💪

Firstly our ladies SV and mens vets had their finals, with the super vets finishing in 9th and mens vets in 12th 👏👏👏

After lunch the Open/Senior crews got their turn with the long race and the first short race, results after 2 races:

Both our ladies crews are in heat E 😬
'Fran's crew' - 3rd
'Charlies crew' - 5th

Men's Open - 2nd in group C and move to group B for tomorrow's racing

One more day of racing to go!

Scillies 2026 Day 1 - done!

Great weather and some brilliant rowing from our Vets and Super Vets crews. Results after 2 races:

Ladies Super Vets - 7th in group A
Ladies Vets - 6th in group B
Men's Vets - 1st in group B 🥇

Ladies Super Vets and Mens Vets have both qualified for their A finals and will race again tomorrow morning 👏👏👏
