Tamar View claimed a hard-fought 3–0 victory over Seymour Arms in an action-packed encounter at Lee Moor that had everything from early injuries to late dramatic goals.
The match opened at a rapid pace when Seymour’s forward snapped a quick effort just past the post. Play was soon halted following a heavy clash of players, requiring treatment for a Seymour player who, despite attempting to continue after the restart, was eventually subbed off.
Both sides traded chances as the game flowed end-to-end.
Tamar's Dan Goffin delivered a sharp free-kick to Rhys Read, though the chance couldn't be converted. Seymour responded with a dangerous set-piece of their own, well-defended by Tamar. Jordan Smith found himself well-placed for Tamar shortly after, but the Seymour keeper read the play brilliantly to claim the ball.
Tamar continued to press, with Rhys drawing a fine save before a key breakthrough arrived. Glanny’s throw-in to Drew Macleod failed to produce a clear shot, but the resulting sequence earned a corner from the opposite side. Alex Cox found himself in the right place at the right time to slot home and make it 1–0 to Tamar View.
Seymour refused to let their heads drop, controlling much of the pitch before the break and threatening from a long throw-in, but Tamar held firm until the half-time whistle.

Seymour restarted strongly from a throw-in, but Tamar stole possession and created immediate drama from a crowded corner, where shouts for a goal were turned down by the referee. Glanny later swung in a cross to Jordan Smith, who couldn't quite connect.
As energy levels dipped slightly on both sides, tension mounted. Seymour kept the pressure on with close calls that drew loud reactions from their supporters, while Tamar brought on Charlie Knight for Macleod to freshen up the midfield. Tamar came agonisingly close to doubling their lead, with Clayton Sargent firing another warning shot.
Seymour favoured long balls to bypass the Tamar defence, but Jay Smith stayed calm, beating the goalkeeper to make it 2–0. Seymour’s keeper pulled off a series of stellar saves in the final five minutes to prevent further damage, but in the final minute of play, Sargent capped off his return from injury with a welcome goal to seal the win.
