Zziplex Bass rods due in soon 🎣

There are 2 models in this group – CT (Carbon tip) and GT (Glass tip). The Zziplex Bass
rods are produced on advanced composite machinery, incorporating highly accurate
CNC fibre pattern cutting by skilled technicians generating reproduceable high
performance rods capturing Terry’s original design genius.
The CT and GT rods contain high tensile glass and carbon fibre but in different ratios
and fibre placement. The CT and GT tips and butts are different designs and purposed
match to their respective sections.

Bass CT

The Zziplex Bass CT is an 11’ 8″ (3.55m) equal section rod with a fully carbon fast tip
action suited for stronger tides and windy conditions.
The CT is slightly stiffer than the GT version that casts further than you would expect
from such a lightweight and slim rod. Very responsive tip for indicative bite detection.
A classic sporting rod optimised for easy handling over long sessions that favours
both mobile and static fishing from a rod casting metal and aerodynamic resin lures
ranging from 2oz to 5oz (60 grams to 140 grams).
These rods are incredibly versatile on lighter estuary or beach work for bream,
flounder, bass, gilt head bream, wrasse, small rays, pollack and will cope well enough
with cod fishing on clean beaches.
They are far from just a single species tool. Nevertheless, they are exceptional for
targeting shore bass, particularly when fishing with baits in surf and shallow
turbulent water.

 Blank colour – Jet Black
 CNC machined, reverse fit joint.
 Factory Finish: Matte Black AT Delta K Guides configured for multiplier or
fixed spool.
 Butt and lower tip guides wrapped in Midnight black with main metallic
blue underlay, white inlays and red tips. Intermediates guides wrapped in
Midnight black.
 Japanese shrink rubber (JSR) handle.
 JSR rubber separator grip on lower tip and upper butt.

Bass GT

The Zziplex Bass GT is an 11’ 8″ (3.55m) equal section rod with sensitive,
predominantly high tensile glass fibre tips to show subtle bites. The tip blends
seamlessly into the butt where energy storage can be translated into easy casting.
The GT is very comfortable to use and develops a smooth flowing cast with very little
effort. The design cleverly turns effort into distance with maximum efficiency.
The bite detection is surreal as you would expect from both the choice of blended
materials and the original designer’s expertise in composite technology.

Plaice Comp Results.

41 Seniors & 7 Juniors took part, thanks always to those who support the comps.

This year i thought we'd see a return to some decent spring Plaice fishing from the shore with what seemed to be a normal (ish) weather for the first time in a few years but it wasn't to be.

Only 4 fish made it into the comp and the size of them are testiment to how poor the fishing has been.

Those that have weighed in a massive well done 👏

Next spring we will try a revised comp with any 2 species from Plaice / Gilt / Thick Lipped Mullet / Bass and see if that works better 🎣
