THURSDAY 26TH QUIZ NIGHT – IN SUPPORT OF THE NATIONAL COASTWATCH INSTITUTION
This week’s quiz host is Ralf Whitworth, raising funds on behalf of the National Coastwatch Institution (NCI).
The quiz has a nautical theme, a winner’s trophy up for grabs, and there will also be raffle prizes on the night.
The National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide vital eyes and ears along our coastline, monitoring radio channels and visibility to help keep people safe at sea. When someone gets into difficulty, NCI works closely with HM Coastguard to alert and direct the appropriate rescue services.
We would love to see a strong turnout for this event, so please do come along, enjoy a fun and friendly evening, and show your support for the fantastic work of the NCI. It’s a great opportunity to help raise much-needed funds, support a vital local service, and show what a welcoming and supportive club we are. If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to read Peter’s quiz email for full details.

Dear Members and Visiting yachts

We are pleased to share some good news — the club will be reopening this evening.

Thank you for your patience as we worked to put everything back together following yesterday’s rain damage. A special thank you also goes to those who kindly provided dehumidifiers; they are still in use and have been a great help.

Please note that the carpeted area will remain closed for the time being. We kindly ask members to use the main entrance and remain on the hard floor areas.

Food service will be available in the restaurant and, weather permitting, in the garden.

We look forward to welcoming you back this evening.
