If you didn’t already need a reason to protect our oceans…

We are sailing on a mission to spread the message of “Waste Knot”, our campaign with Cornwall Climate Care to remove plastic waste from the oceans and repurpose it into new products, in order to help and protect our precious ocean environment. Seems the dolphins are on board with our quest 🐬

Hurrah. What a race. Light winds and tidal gates ensured the race took 43 hours, considerably longer than we thought. Our boat doesn’t really excel in light winds as weighs in at nearly 10 tonnes so our provisional 2nd place on corrected time is fab in our first proper offshore race. Thanks to Dazcat for building us such a superb machine. A well deserved beer as we set off for the 12 hour downwind blast back to our base In Plymouth 💪

No wind but plenty of dolphins guiding us to the Eddystone lighthouse. Music not required….

Couple of amazing shots from the photographic genius Lloyd Images as we passed The Needles on way to The Eddystone lighthouse. It’s going to be a long night with light winds and soon the tide turning against us. Current estimated finish time back at The Needles about 4am on Monday morning (after which we turn around and sail back to Plymouth again!). May those absolutely delicious Cornishpod pasties never run out 💪
