🚨ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

After a long and difficult period with my health, I’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to close Goalkeeping Southwest. This isn’t just a coaching setup to me — it’s been a huge part of my life, something I’ve poured everything into, and something I truly love.

To every goalkeeper I’ve worked with… I’m so proud of each and every one of you. Watching you grow, not just as players but as people, has meant more to me than I can ever put into words. Your dedication, your energy, and your passion for the game is what made this so special.

To the parents and families — thank you for your trust, your support, and for allowing me to be a small part of your journeys. It’s something I’ll never take for granted.
Walking away from this is incredibly painful, but right now I have to listen to my body and focus on my health.

Goalkeeping Southwest has been more than just football — it’s been a family. And that’s what makes this so hard to say goodbye to.
Thank you for everything. Truly ❤️

Training was cancelled tonight. So where did my son ask to go……….

Instead of taking the easy option and having the night off, he chose to head to the gym where he trains for his martial arts and put in the work.

No one told him to. No one was watching. Just commitment, discipline, and a love for the position he dreams of mastering. Was every rep good? No. Was every set perfect? Absolutely not. Did we have fun? Yes we loved it and learned along the way.

I’m proud of the mindset he’s building at such a young age. Footballers are shaped when effort is a choice, not an obligation.

Keep grinding, mate. The future is built one decision at a time. 🥅🔥

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We’re really pleased to be continuing our support for the Plymstock United Colts Juniors U10s for the 2025/26 season. 🖤❤️

This year, we’ll be jointly sponsoring the away kit alongside our friends at Xtreme Party Zone

We’re also proud to be providing the coaches’ kit, ensuring the team staff are kitted out for the season ahead.

For us, it’s about being part of the grassroots football community and helping create the best possible environment for young players to grow, develop, and enjoy the game.

Ready for the New Season 🧤⚽

After a productive off-season break, I’m looking forward to returning to my coaching role with the Devon FA Girls ETC this evening.

This year, our focus is on refining technique, building confidence, and ensuring our goalkeepers are prepared for every challenge the game presents.

I’ll be using the fantastic Pulse GK gloves, a product I trust for their reliable grip, comfort, and consistency — qualities that make a real difference in every session.

Fantastic to see Freya Weeks hard work paying off.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Freya at The FA future lioness goalkeeping centre and at Devon County FA Girls ETC for the last 3 years.

It’s been great to see her hard work and determination pay off as she moves onto her next chapter. I wish Freya all the best for the next stage of her journey and look forward to seeing her grow. ⚽️ 🧤 💪

Freya Weeks has departed Argyle to pursue an exciting footballing opportunity elsewhere.

We'd like to thank Freya for her efforts in the second half of last season, after coming through the pathway, and wish her all the best in the future 💚

We’ve been working with gk.blades over the past few months, and her development has been hugely impressive.

From explosive lateral movement and clean handling to sharp 1v1 decision-making and consistent high ball control — she’s ticking all the boxes. Her focus during sessions and ability to apply detail under pressure really reflect her potential and professionalism. 👏⚽️

🧤 Goalkeeping Southwest | Season Wrap-Up & What’s Next ⚽

It’s been a hectic end to the season — and although we’ve been quiet online, there’s been no shortage of action on and off the pitch!

First off, a big thank you to Pulse GK for their continued support this season.
