Check this out for a variety of fish caught this week by club members from both boat and shore. Great to see the fishing locally producing as it should. Well done chaps, fantastic to see the Juniors enjoying themselves 👏🎣

Great to see plenty of fish coming to the scales over the last couple weeks from club members. A fixed event at Portlemouth produced a few Thornbacks and a surprise Black Bream. A few Gilts are starting to show with Gary Fields having the best of them and young JJ Clarke continues to fly the flag for the Juniors with a recent Hound trip producing the goods well done JJ 👏🎣

Finally starting to see some quality fish arrive with the weather improving. Steve King over the weekend had this Thornback of 9-13 whilst trying for Gilts. A change of mark saw Steve also have an absolutely frantic hour on the bream with 6 fish landed upto 3-9 and a bigger fish managing to throw the hook at his feet.

Carrying on with the Gilts Gary Fields with his PB going 5-14 another quality fish well done mate 👏🎣

Last weekend saw the Second of our Boat Rovers with slightly less boats taking part this time due various other commitments 6 boats still ventured out in the cold wind to give it their best shot.

The Saturday saw the best of the weather once again with the wind coming more from the north giving the most favourable conditions out of the 2 days. Sunday becoming a tad lumpy due to the unpredictable easterly wind making it difficult for most to venture too far from land.

Some fantastic fish were still caught and we can't wait to see what can be achieved later on in the year when the fishing improves.

Dean Bailey took 1st place in this round with a Spur (15-9) and a Mullet (3-9) giving him a total of 218.75%

Matt Parry was just behind in 2nd with a superb Blonde Ray going (24-8) and a PB Mullet of (4-6) giving him a total of 215.76%

Nick Jones was in 3rd with his Wrasse of (4-6) and a percentage of 109.38%

Other fish to make it to the scales,

Steve Duke Bullhuss (9-13) 81.77%
Clive Way Blonde Ray (16-12) 77.83%

Last weekend saw the first of our Boat Rovers with over 10 boats out taking part.

Despite everyone out giving it their best shot the fish just didn't want to play ball and only a handful made it to the weigh in.
