Special Announcement. Latest Advice, Memberships and more below;

Dear Members/Non Members,

We hoped to confirm that Whiteford Road Tennis and Badminton Club (WRTBC) would be fully re-opened wef. 4th July 2020. However we have been advised by Badminton England that we cannot reopen our two indoor badminton courts at this time.

You will be able to continue having access to out outdoor tennis court 2 & 3, and court 1 again very soon!

The indoor badminton courts, clubhouse, access to the toilets and kitchen area remain closed for now whilst we carry our essential refurbishment and ensure the upmost level of hygiene to protect all players.

Thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding during the Coronavirus lock down. In recognition of this we are offering a special six month special Tennis membership rate (we will also have a 6 month Badminton membership offer when re-opened).

We are also very excited to announce that we now have an online membership form, so that you can choose your membership and take advantage of the special rate by 18th July . Please visit the website to find out more.

As a reminder please ensure when you are at the club you continue to follow the LTA guidance on maintaining social distancing, hygiene, etc. We have included details posters around to club for all specific advice.

To help ensure we maintain hygiene standards at our club, please remove any rubbish you have generated.

Information on adult/junior tennis coaching and social tennis will be confirmed shortly.

Badminton England remains disappointed that indoor facilities will not reopen on July 4. We are currently working closely with the Government and fellow governing bodies along with Sport England to identify when indoor badminton can return as a priority. Important Announcement
As of Wednesday 13th May, following the recent Government guidance along with instructions from the LTA, we are pleased to announce that the club will reopen under limited capacity.
The outdoor courts will reopen for use to all members.
The clubhouse will remain shut for the time-being limiting use of the facilities and badminton courts. This will be reviewed regularly and will be opened as soon as is safe to do so.

The current guidance on the use of tennis courts is;
You may play singles with either a person from your household, or one person not in your household.
You may play doubles only with members of your household.
We would ask that you aim to pre-arrange your singles match to avoid not knowing who and how many players will be there at any one time.
Please stay at least 2 metres away from any players not in your household.
Please keep your equipment, bags, rackets & water bottles away from other member's equipment.
Please avoid swapping ends mid-game, unless you can agree to change ends at opposite ends of the net.

Come and join us on Saturday April 18th for a Family Fun Day Tennis Extravaganza. There will be lots going on including a family tennis tournament, Tabletop Sale, Delicious BBQ and much, much more! Entry is completely free, all we ask is that you bring a smile and willing attitude. Great for kids and parents alike!
