As the curtain falls on another fantastic season of jump racing at Plumpton, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our supporters, racegoers, racing professionals, valued partners and sponsors. Quite simply, we couldn't do it without you.
This season brought its share of challenges. Losing the Sussex National to frost was devastating, but the Plumpton team and our incredible racing family refused to let that define the season, working harder than ever to make every raceday special.
Our Easter Festival was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year. With beautiful weather, packed enclosures and fantastic racing, it showcased everything that makes Plumpton so special, and it was wonderful to restage the Sussex National after that January loss.
None of us could have predicted the loss of Ladies Day, and the prospect of not having the chance to say goodbye at the end of the season was difficult to accept. We were absolutely thrilled to be offered our first evening fixture in 10 years. With glorious sunshine and a wonderful atmosphere, it proved to be the perfect, if unexpected, finale to our season.
Across the season, more than 640 runners took to the track, competing for over £1.3M in prize money. We were delighted to welcome a diverse mix of owners, trainers and jockeys, many of whom celebrated memorable victories. It's always a pleasure to witness new connections enjoy their first Plumpton success, while also sharing continued triumphs with the familiar faces who have supported us for so many years.
Charity racedays have become a cornerstone of the Plumpton calendar, and this season we are incredibly proud to have helped raise more than £400,000 for a number of remarkable causes close to our hearts. We often speak about the generosity of our racing family, but this year you truly went above and beyond. Your support has made a genuine difference - thank you
As we look ahead to next season, we're already excited for what's to come. Be sure to mark 20th September in your diary. We can't wait to open the gates and welcome you back to do it all over again.
