Our students have been working hard this week, focusing on their syllabus and pushing forward toward their upcoming gradings. Their commitment and attention to detail continue to set a strong standard across the club.

We’re proud to support every member on their journey, and as always, beginners are welcome. Whether you’re starting fresh or returning to training, we’ll guide you through each step with structured coaching and a clear path for progression.

What an evening!!

We finished for Christmas with a bang 💥
2 hour game mega session with both Junior classes and then a lovely meal out with some of the Seniors 😊

We have a great family and last night summed it all up. The parents were amazing, getting involved with our last game helping us to finish off 2025 in style!

Thank you everyone for a great evening, we are back on the 8th January 🥋

Where to start....

We have had another amazing weekend with Wakarishin Ju-Jitsu, starting out with our black belt grading on Saturday.

Immensely proud of these 4, the hard work and dedication that they have put in to achieve their new belts is admirable and I couldn't be prouder!

Three new Junior Black Belts and a new 2nd Dan (with credit)🥋

And then to top it off we were able to celebrate their successes at the Christmas celebration with more of our family and friends.

I have always loved coaching but I never imagined that I would have 2 amazing classes of my own and seeing everyone come together celebrating and enjoying their hobby as much as I do really makes me realise how special our Wakarishin family is ❤️

🚨 Class Update!
Starting Sunday 27th July, Sensei Nathan's 11:15am Sunday class at Barstable will now welcome Juniors (Purple Belt and above), along with seniors.

This change helps support the new grading structure and creates more space for advanced juniors to train at the right level.

👉 Please speak to your Sensei before attending to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

🥋🔥 The students were on fire yesterday in the heat 🔥🥋

Brown belts working towards their Dan gradings with kyu grade revision.

Great to see high grades using the time to get some training in sensei Daniel Treby & Gra Ham smashing through brown belt in just over 40 mins.

We also had the return to the mat from Faye, hopefully not too much of shock to the system 😁

Next Sunday we are off due to the gradings so the Sunday class will be returning on 13th July. All other classes are on as usual.

Sensei Katherine Byne & Sensei Nathan Byne, along with a great group of our Juniors did another display yesterday in Basildon.

The atmosphere was great and the Juniors were on fire 🔥 literally 🥵 but they did a great job in the sun showing off what Wakarishin Ju-Jitsu is all about 🥋
