❣️❗️Yorkshire Dales Trip - 1st to 3rd May❗️❣️

💜 SUITABILITY: Beginners AND experienced members. 🪢 Should be some fun SRT trips. 😄

💸💸: £40 (Leaves Manchester at 19:00 on Friday, returns on Sunday). Price of ticket includes: brekky🍳 on Saturday and Sunday, 🍛 dinner on Saturday.

👥This weekend is beginner friendly, but anybody from before can come too

🎟️Tickets will get released on the 4th at 8pm on the SU website (see our Linktree).

ℹ️If you manage to get a ticket, we will provide you with caving gear at the Armitage Sports Centre Friday evening (usally around 7pm) and then drive you to a caving hut in the Peaks (1h drive)

🧦Bring lots of warm clothing and 2 extra pairs of socks and underwear, as these can get wet in caves. Bring a towel and a sleeping bag! Don't forget your charger and toiletries!
Optionally I also recommend ear plugs and a sleeping mask if you want to go to bed before others.

🍲🍫🍳Make sure to eat dinner yourself on Friday night, and to bring lots of sealable caving snacks. Alcohol is optional, so bring it if you want it. Saturday and Sunday morning we feed you a full English breakfast before we go caving. Saturday night you get dinner from us (veggie/vegan options available).

Caving huts have alpine style or bunk style mattress beds, hot showers and a kitchen. Wi-Fi and mobile data may be limited.

Exspect to get muddy and wet, but also to have lots of fun!

Trips for semester 2 as well as the date for our AGM/committee re-elections (for which we have booked a room in the student union). Furthermore, we are planning to do a longer trip to Scotland just before semester 1 starts next academic year in September. To join us please come to our pub social every Wednesday at 8pm at the Ford Maddox Brown Weatherspoons. We currently put most of our updates in our WhatsApp group to which you can get added at the pub social.

A freshers guide to caving gear! We provide all equipment (but you have to bring your own caving snack!!!). You will have to collect these items from our storage unit under our guidance before we leave, and then put them on at the caving hut.
