Thinking about or fancy joining the Peaky Runners community?

Here are some viewpoints form three newbies from our last run , last weekend. It’s safe to say, they enjoyed the run and social aspect of being out on the trails, with likeminded runners

You came , you stood infront of the big lumps and took them on. You all showed grit, endeavour and courage

Well done to everyone taking part

We are proud you are in our community

A finish line long overdue.

is one of our OGs

His words

My first trail race finally done and honestly… hard to put into words what hit me when I crossed it.
A few years ago I was heading into the Peaks just to clear my head, running to escape bad health news and convince myself I could still do hard things. I cancelled races, doubted my health and talked myself out of trying more times than I can count.

I have a great set of friends that got me big into Road running and gave me confidence again but the trail goal sat quietly in the background for years.

Huge thanks to the Peaky Runners , the community who first got me into the trails. It’s been a great community to share their stories, their routes, their gear tips and showed me what people can overcome.

Thank you for everything.

Well done James, we are proud of you

PEAKY RUNNERS LIVE >> Tomororw

This Wednesday 13th May | 7PM 🕖

We’re going LIVE to talk about something bigger than running… Mental Health. 🧠

Running isn’t just about pace, PBs or medals.
It’s about movement. Connection. Community.
It’s about having people around you who understand when life gets heavy.

We’ll be opening up honest conversations around:
The benefits of movement for mental health
Speaking openly without fear of judgement
The power of community & connection
Dealing with injuries and setbacks as runners
Why it’s important not to let things bottle up inside

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is “Taking Action” and sometimes the first step is simply talking.

If this conversation helps even one person feel less alone, it’s worth it.
