How we started!

Dad (Malcolm Henderson) and a really good friend started the club 30 years ago and gradually with the help of friends the club grew, expanded and improved. Dad took over the shoot completely after the sad loss of his friend to cancer and from then on, pretty much every member of the family has helped out in one way or another. Over the last couple of years Dad has taken a back seat and myself (his

daughter Sue Daunt) and my husband (Darren Daunt) have taken over the reins. We are really lucky to be able still get advice from Dad when we need to and we have an amazing bunch of friends and family that help us run the shoot. Were committed to our shoot being as friendly as possible that provides shooting for all abilities, great food and great training. Sue Daunt.

Our clay shoot is open tomorrow for Fathers Day. Why not bring Dad along for a great day out, enjoy some friendly competition and make the most of the beautiful countryside?

It was great to see so many shooters out enjoying the course, with some excellent scores posted despite a few challenging targets keeping everyone on their toes.

A particular highlight was seeing so many junior shooters taking part. Its always encouraging to watch the next generation developing their skills, confidence, and passion for the sport.

What a beautiful day for our clay pigeon shoot! Blue skies, great company, plenty of laughter, and some fantastic shooting today. There's nothing better than spending time outdoors with good friends, thank you to everyone who joined us today.

The wind definitely made things interesting, with some seriously challenging targets out there, but that didn't stop some fantastic shooting. Some very impressive scores were still posted despite the conditions - proof that skill and focus can overcome even the toughest weather. Big credit to everyone who battled through the gusts and kept smiling. Our next shoot is Sunday 24th May and the results from today - Sunday 10th May:

We were treated to glorious spring sunshine and an incredible turnout - it was great to see so many familiar faces alongside plenty of newcomers joining in. A big welcome to those trying it for the first time - we loved seeing you get stuck in and make the most of lessons with our Instructors. It's always rewarding to watch confidence grow shot by shot. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great atmosphere. Already looking forward to the next one on Sunday 10th May!

A bit windy out on the ground today, but we were treated to blue skies and, best of all… no rain! 🌤️💨

It was fantastic to welcome so many new faces to our amazing sport. A big thank you to our brilliant instructors, Steph and Steve, for guiding everyone through their lessons and making it such an enjoyable experience.

We love seeing more people discover clay shooting—hope to see you all back again soon! 🎯
