Thank you to Heathfield and Horam Ladies Football Team for a great game to end the season. The ladies all dug deep & played a fantastic final match of the season. A real 💯% team effort, where communication was high & with no subs we were able to keep 0-0 at 1/2 time. The second half saw some fantastic attacking play with Izzy finding the back of the net early on, followed by Mel & then a fantastic goal from Gemma. Heathfield were unlucky to not score a penalty after a handball in the area. A well spirited game finishing with smiles all round & enjoyment of the game that really was needed. Well done everyone. 💙⚽️🩵

The ladies had a tough task on their hands today with only 9 players against 16 players Withdean Starling. To be faced with an 11 aside pitch & 11 aside goals. In true Pevensey ethos at halftime with an injured player kitting up allowing another player to come off they played until the bitter end. The 9-0 score certainly does not give the grit & determination justice. Player of the match goes to Gem who worked tirelessly on the wing from start to finish. Thank you to Withdean who have really come on 💙⚽️🩵

An absolute solid team performance most players playing 90mins of fast paced football against a well setup Ringmer side. Player of the match is particularly hard as such perseverance & effort was put in by every player and despite the loss each player still smiling. So The TEAM as a whole gets player of the match. Jazz & Ash who made some great impact driving forward, coming on in the 2nd 30mins where there were no goals. Hayley incredible saves & energy between the sticks. Rachelle darting around the pitch taking throws & free kicks. Emma & Han forever learning & improving on the wings of defence, putting their stamina to the test. Isabelle & Lou taking those great runs down the wing & the little link ups & of course Izzy’s goal. Janine swapping positions with a VAR worthy shot from a corner off of her head. Anna & Gem both feeling the strain due to health still absolutely giving their all in the first 30mins, Gem then coming back on to relieve Rachelle that’s pure teamwork. Charlotte expertly managing from the sidelines, seeing Emz back on the pitch for the first time in 2years for a whole match. Not forgetting those injured coming to support Nik & Carly. It has & is proving a tough season due to longterm injuries- praise to this amazing bunch of Ladies 💙⚽️🩵

Ladies came away with an unfortunate 1-4 loss at home to Willingdon.
A solid team performance with debuts from Hayley, Ash & Anna. Great communication & link up play for a team with a very new system. We look towards our next match in less than a weeks time.
