Aberdeen Football Club player and former Burnhaven School pupil Connor McLennan kindly gave up some of his free time to present Burnhaven Munich FC with their new strip on Thursday evening.

Connor being a great sport also joined in with the for a 3-minute kickabout. However after due consideration we've decided not to offer him a contract and to allow him to remain with the Dons for the rest of the season with our good wishes.

Thank you Connor, you made the kids' day.

I’ve ordered some new gear from proceeds of raffle including size 4 footballs and new nike training t-shirts (white). Total spend for this in the region of £150. This on top of £100 or so last month for extra strips.

How is everyone for shorts & socks?

Also got some kit for Paul & myself which is not coming out of club funds.

Also expecting a new kit bag which is courtesy of a deal with Buchanhaven Hearts.

Kids day out still to be decided, possibly Sat 4th, Sat 11th or Sun 12th August.

Club kitty standing in the region of £350 before we pay for the day out.

I am planning a day out for the kids during the summer at the Inverurie Trampoline Park and will offer up some dates on weekends for this very shortly. Can everyone PM me with dates they definitely can't manage.

Planning ahead a bit here but I won't be available on the following Saturdays when the new football season starts, this is on account of me doing my SFA Childrens Award: Sat 25th August (first day for 7s ☹️), Sat 15th September, Sat 22nd September.

Paul should be able to do all days so all should be OK.

I have the astroturf booked for training at 5pm Thursday for the full school year 2018-19. Training will go up a couple of notches as I'm expecting the first term on the bigger pitches will be a bit tough for some of them. I might do a couple of sessions over at Eden Park before the school starts up again. I'm also keeping my eye out for any galas or festivals we can take part in.

Friendly Matches

As noted in our discussion group, we have a 5s friendly v Buchan Girls on Thursday 5pm. If possible please be at the astro by 4.50. I'm thinking it will be 2x 10 minute halves. Then we'll go into normal (light) training afterwards until 6 as normal.

I'm also about to ask another team for a 5s friendly at some point in the next fortnight, especially as we aren't playing on Saturday 2nd June.

I am also still considering sending a team up to Huntly for a gala on 16th June. I would be more than happy to take Riley and Alfie with us, it would be great if we could get our full squad up to play against some different opposition. I would expect it to be tough but it could be a good change of scenery.

Martin and I are also speaking about a proper 7s friendly between Burnhaven Errol and Burnhaven Munich on Saturday 23rd June. Can parents please check their diaries to make sure all boys can make this date.

Raising funds for new equipment for Burnhaven Munich FC currently playing P3 section of Peterhead Primary Schools Football Association. All invited, family, friends etc, please share, all for the good cause of health and wellbeing of our footballing superstars.

Training 5pm Astro on Thursday.

Couple of things to report.

I have ordered 4 new strips (keeping the same strip) for the new season for Andrew, Daniel, Jack and Kian (I also already have one spare). We possibly have a new player joining us in June as well.

I have a gentleman's agreement with someone to acquire a number of used size 4 footballs for next season.

In next couple of days I will be putting out new spring draw. It will be 90 squares at £5 each with prize being £200 Malmaison voucher same as last year.

Hi folks, I’m trying to arrange some 5v5 games for between now and end of the season. Our players aren’t being challenged enough and are performing better in training than they are on Saturdays. I’ll keep you posted on any progress with this.
