We would like to say a big thank you to Nick for all his hard work over the past 15 years at CFC, as he retires to move to Canada! All the best from everyone at Culter Football Club

“Today We presented Nick with Culter FC crystal glasses. Nick is emigrating to Canada in early July as his children and grandchildren stay in Canada. I would like to thank Nick as a valuable CFC committee member for almost 15 years. Nick is a joiner so his skills were used to install new kitchen/shop and also he supervised the major repairs to our pavilion roof approx 4 years ago. Over the last two seasons Nick has assisted Dave T on match hospitality days. I wish Nick and Maggie all the best”

𝗘𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗠𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗜𝗡

Culter Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Ewan McCormick as Co-Assistant Manager.

Speaking of the appointment was President Gordon Thomson:

“This is an important appointment for the club. I know Lee and the team have been trying to get Ewan for some time, so we’re all delighted he’s accepted the position to join the club despite having other offers.

Ewan did an excellent job at Hermes during his three seasons there, turning his hand to a wide range of activities. Ewan will be going through his SFA C License soon and will have our support with that.

Ewan will work closely with Craig Stephenson, who has been an important part of the club’s success since 2018. Craig’s working relationship with Lee is invaluable, and we feel Ewan will be a great addition to that working group with the rest of the lads.

Lee has been doing a huge amount of work for the club in the background helping and taking lead with commercial activities and organising fundraisers so it was important we strengthened the team to lessen the workload on Lee.”

With Lee due to have his first child in the coming weeks, Craig will lead the team as manager throughout pre season when Lee is unavailable, with Ewan and the wider team providing support as required.

We’re fortunate and very grateful to have a management team that help with all things Culter. Lee, Paul and Finnie in particular have done a huge amount of work in the background with Craig and James covering allot of team duties. Adding Ewan further strengthens the group and adds another hard working member who will support across various areas of the club.

𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗖 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵

Culter FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Darren Scott as the club’s new Head of Youth.

Darren brings a wealth of experience in youth development, having spent 17 years with Heart of Midlothian’s Youth Development programme, helping to nurture and develop young players within one of Scotland’s leading academies. He then moved on to Aberdeen Women’s FC, where he continued his work in player development and pathway progression, before taking up the role of Head of Youth at Huntly FC in 2024.

As Head of Youth at Culter FC, Darren will lead the integration of our youth section, which currently supports over 600 players, while helping to create a clear pathway from grassroots football through to the senior team.

Darren will also play a key role in developing the club’s future plans, including securing new sponsorship opportunities, supporting the floodlight installation project, and overseeing the introduction of our future Development Teams.

We are excited to welcome Darren to Culter FC and look forward to working together as we continue to build a strong “One Club” vision for the future.

𝗠𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦

The club can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Bridge of Don Thistle JFC for the permanent transfer of Mikey Bruce.

Mikey signed last summer on the back of his contract expiring with Newmachar United Football Club and went on to have a good season but wanted a move in aid of more regular game time.

We wish Mikey all the best, great guy and will be missed by everyone at the club.

Also departing the club is Ashton Forde after an agreement was made for him to sign for Banchory St.Ternan Football Club on a permanent basis. Ashton was on loan at Banchory last season and trained with our first team throughout. Ashton is a good talent who will continue to develop with regular game time - we wish him all the best.

Full squad for season 2026/27 to be announced in due course.

Culter Football Club is pleased to announce that Cameron Middleton will be joining the team on loan again for the season from Formartine Football Club.

Cammy ended the season well and comes in hungry to kick on again. Keller is now injury free and will remain competing with Cammy for the number one spot.

Aidan Linton returns to Banchory St.Ternan Football Club to continue his development after contributing well in the games he played after being recalled.

More good news coming from Peterculter this morning as two important players have signed new contracts until summer 2029.

Well done Aulay Martin and Aidan Combe, both have become hugely important cogs in the team after an excellent first season with the club.

𝗦𝗔𝗠 𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗛𝗔𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞✍️

The club are delighted to confirm that Sam Garnham has signed a long term deal with the club.

Sam recently joined Huntly FC, however, a recent change in University requirements meant Sam couldn’t commit to the Highland League.

Upon receipt of this information, we acted swiftly and worked with Huntly FC to find a solution for all parties, this has included Harry Woods going the other way.

🗣️Our management team commented:

‘We’re pleased to add Sam, he’s a player we’ve been trying to get for a long time. Sam was one of the best forwards in the league during his time with Dyce. He’s coming in on the back of a good season in the Highland League last season for a strong Turriff team. Sam commits defenders well, has pace with excellent movement and works really hard both ways. We’re delighted to add him to the group’

‘In terms of Harry, we want to thank Harry for his efforts last season and wish him well with his new club. You’ve got all the ability to do well, stick in and thanks again’

Culter Football Club are delighted to announce that Andy Youngson and Dom Rae will become Culter FC players upon the expiry of their current contracts with Hermes FC later this month.

Our management team was obviously pleased to bolster the squad with such quality quoting🗣️:

‘Andy left the club as a good young player, he now returns as one of the best players in the league. He dictates the tempo of games, adds fight and tenacity to the middle of the park and brings leadership’

‘Dom has been a standout in the league for a long time now. He’s a commanding defender who’s a real asset in both boxes. He’s been the captain of a good Hermes side in recent seasons barely missing a game which demonstrates the type of player we’ve signed’

‘It was important we added experience and winning mentality to enhance the group this summer. We’re delighted to get both players onboard and looking forward to seeing them integrate and drive the team forward’
