Peterborough Phantoms Junior Academy This public group is aimed at promoting Junior Ice Hockey in the Peterborough UK region consistent with the aims and objectives of English Ice Hockey (EIH).

Sheffield U12B team 🏒🩵

This weekend we took a team to U12B tournament Sheffield.

We put together a team of younger players to build a B team to help their progression into the new season!

This team consisted of -

No older 2014 (12s) players
2015 (12s) - 6 players
2016 - (10s) - 6 players
2017 - (10s) - 4 players
NMs - 2015 & 2016

From a first game losing 10-1 to a strong team who finished 2nd in the tournament, they battled, listened to coaches and worked on their game through the 5 games of the tournament.

The war paint went on, and we battled hard throughout the tournament against strong squads of U12s teams, while having fun with the team over the weekend.

By the last game, we ended 2-0 to a great team who finished 3rd in the tournament.

As much as the team were fighting for a win, they came out of the tournament happy and content with what they had achieved in their own goals.

Over the tournament we gained a more bonded team, more structured and more confident team which was a great win for us.

Team we are very proud of the work you put in, the efforts of not giving up and battling to the very end.

Looking forward to the season ahead, continuing this attitude and work ethic in the game! ⭐️

⭐️ Fundraising ⭐️

As we come to the end of the season, we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Peterborough Phantoms Junior Academy fundraising efforts this year.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our academy families, sponsors and volunteers, our fundraising activities have made a real difference this season. The Christmas raffle generated a whopping £767, the End of Season Awards raffle raised approximately £281, and the World Cup sweepstake, raised £120!!

These fundraising efforts help the academy cover important club administration costs, supply and replace equipment, and reduce overall costs for the club and our families.

We would also like to give a special thank you to everyone who supported the End of Season Awards raffle, including Peterborough Phantoms for their generous donations, as well as Hollywood Bowl, All Stars Arena, Express Print, and Lucy Worthington, who kindly donated, sourced and put together baskets and additional gifts.

Every raffle ticket bought, prize donated, basket created, sweepstake entered, and message shared has helped support our young players and the wider academy. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our Phantoms families and the local community.
