Hi All!
I know it has been a while since I have posted on here. I had to take a bit of a step back to focus on my family. this has meant that I work during school hours, which has worked perfectly for us for now.
My work has developed and changed over time and I no longer run childrens yoga group sessions. My work has predominately focused on children and adults with special needs. However, as I see us all as having 'special, diverse and unique needs' - because each of us are so different, my work is not exclusive to SEN. I have found that 1-2-1 sessions and specialist work in schools, colleges and day services have become my way, where i feel the people I work with really thrive, grow and change, through having more individualised and bespoke interaction and tailoring to thier needs.
This last year has been the most intense, yet transformative year in my Yoga training. As many of you know I have been training with Special Yoga and compleated my Level2 course, which was every other weekend for a whole year! I am now a 'Senior Theraputic Yoga Teacher' and have already begun on this next journey as a trainer with Special Yoga and the beautiful, generous and compassionate founder Jyoti Jo Manuel. From the first course I did with Special Yoga (6 years ago!), I wanted to be part of thier team, so this is a dream come true.
The most powerful part of this training fo rme has been self mastery. Being able to regulate my own emotions, which in turn has had a huge impact on my own children. When things in the past have felt overwhelming and too big to handle, I have this strong sense of an inner calm and trusting that things are ok, everything passes and can support them in a way I wasnt able to before.
The work I do currently has been extremely powerful not just for the individuals, but their parents, carers and staff.
So I just wanted to reconnect and share with you, that I am here still, after finding my flow and passion - which was always there.
Love and light
