Weekend Highlights at Craigie Hill Golf Club

🏌️ Another weekend packed with fun and competitive golf - all 100% inclusive to all levels of Golfer 🏌️

We started the weekend with a bang - The Morocco Texas Scramble - 19 teams to battle on the Hill, whilst also raising over £1k for the Guide Dogs via the Glen McPherson Tribute Fund.

Ended it with welcoming in new Scratch and Handicap Club Champions to the roster!

Always lots going on at the Hill - inviting in Gents, Ladies, Juniors to participate in multiple fun Comps and Events.

For Brand new members (not a member within last 2 years) we are offering pro rate deals on membership - easy calculation, as we are 6months into the season, is basically half the advertised rate.

Craigie Hill Golf Club Club Championships final day 2026!

Well, here it is/was again, and it certainly did not disappoint! 🏌️

In blistering heat each of the Finalists went above and beyond in the attempt to capture the Club Championships Trophy on the day!

We christened a new Gents Scratch Club Champion in Barry Swan - and his adventurous birdie on the 36th hole was worth a watch for all members who showed up on the day to support 👏🏌️

Also a new Gents Handicap Club Champ in Gerry Kelly SNR - who had played really well all week in his endeavours to secure the title today 👏 👏 👏 🏆

Susan and Maggie have been past champions in the ladies section of the Hill - but again continued to show some great skill and determination to get through difficult conditions on the day to win thru!!! ⛳🏌️

Morocco Texas Scramble 2026 🏌️🏆🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What an absolutely incredible day at Craigie Hill Golf Club yesterday - 19 teams went into battle on the Hill - Shotgun Start, 6pm (ISH)!!!

The Scottish weather was dead against us ☔ - until 5 minutes before Start time at 6pm - then the Sun 🌞 burst thru !!

The day and night event was also a memorial for Hill stalwarts who are sadly no longer with us.

In an acknowledgement of past fundraising Shug MacMaster did for the Guide Dogs fund - the Hill members and guests worked hard to raise funds for the Glen McPherson Tribute Fund (see link) which aids the Guide Dogs cause. His memorial bench is proudly displayed green side on the 7th now.

We ended up raising a total of £1050 for Glens Fund 👏.

Golf-wise there was some outstanding scoring on an incredibly good playing surface even after the extensive rainfall all day prior to tee off - not to mention some fantastic donations by the members for raffles and prizes on the day !!!

💙 Happy , ! 💙

Our Friday got off to a cracking start this morning with a visit from Craigie Hill Golfers Forum Club Captain, Graeme, who popped into Perth & Kinross Foodbank HQ with an incredible 7 crates of donations collected during last weekend's Gents Stableford Open ⛳🏌️‍♂️

And, as if that wasn't enough, Graeme had some pennies for us too! 💚

Pictured are Graeme and Friday Team Leader Shaun with the fantastic haul, which will now be weighed in, sorted by our superstar and making its way onto the warehouse shelves ready to support households across Perth and Kinross next week 📦🥫

A huge to everyone who contributed to the collection. Whether you an item, popped some change in a bucket or helped make the event happen, your and are very much appreciated.

It's always lovely to see local clubs and coming together in support of one another. really is a wonderful thing 💚

🍀 Scotty Stewart Memorial Trophy 2026 🍀

Sunday 14th June 2026 was a day of remembrance for former Craigie Hill Golf Club and Artisans member Scotty, who we lost in 2020.

A former Club Champion at the Artisans In 2017 - we all lost a dear friend, with some unforgettable mannerisms and golf stories on the course from years gone by⛳

An unbelievable competitor on the golf course, but always the gentleman on and off it.

Outstanding records of most Medal rounds played in a calendar year and a general love of all competition.

Members from the Artisans and Craigie Hill gathered to pay respects and share some great stories of Scotty - and play for this years trophy.

In a tight match the Artisans just edged it, and keep the trophy for 2026 -- but we'll get it back in 2027 when the competition returns to the Hill !!! ⛳🏌️

Scotty's mum Mo was delighted with the turn out of friends in memory of her dear son and presented the Trophy to Artisans Team Captain Tam Sewell.

Craigie Hill Golf Club Open 2026!

Incredible Scores in Tough Conditions! 🏌️

Grit, Skill, and Determination Shine at the Craigie Hill Open 2026 !!

Despite the wind and rain, players rose to the challenge and produced some truly remarkable scores.

Top of the Overall Stableford leaderboard and winner of the day was Christopher Burn from Falkirk Tryst, who set the mark with an outstanding 38 points

Top Scratch Score honours went to former member Johnny Belford, who edged ahead on the better inward half with an impressive 73!

Best in class in Division One, Ian Wilson delivered another incredible performance, beating his age once again – shooting 74 at age 88 and getting 37 Stableford Points. A truly inspiring display of consistency and class. 🏌️

Winner of Division 2 saw Ian's good friend and golfing rival Kenny Scotland win out with 36 points!! 🏌️

In Division 3 was great to see new member Dane McGregor win thru with an impressive 35points in those conditions!! 🏌️
