A wet start to the day!

The lead horse on this ride was 5 year old Sietske, escorting 4 year old Tally and joined by Idske, who had her first ride back after a couple of years off on maternity leave.
Too dark to spend much time on roads today, so Tally had an introduction to wading through puddles on tracks and and riding though stubble fields. All very good girls 😇

Gold star 🌟 for Tally today, she is 4 years old and just started her introduction to work in the last few weeks. Today was her first proper hack out, with Meggie and Frida as her escorts.

Poor little mare had a baptism of fire as the traffic was abnormally intense , with a road closure directing a lot of traffic our way. We met 3 tractors carrying trailer loads of potatoes, had to pass by one being unloaded with a forklift, which the horses were all so good with. Then we had a complete idiot came flying around a blind bend over a bridge, pulling a trailer loaded with pipes (we heard him coming so held back) he slammed on the breaks when he realised the road wasn't solely for his use! Then immediately put his foot on the excellerator, put his van and trailer up the grass verge and continued speeding past us. Such a reckless stunt which could have put us all into a very dangerous situation had any of the horses moved. Unfortunately we didn't get the van details as it happened far too quickly for us to see, otherwise I absolutely would have reported the dangerous driving to the police.

I am just so grateful for the nature of every horse on that ride but particularly sweet little Tally who remained calm during that experience on her first proper hack out on the roads with a rider on board. Golden girls ⭐️⭐️⭐️

These two Barock Pinto boys were born within a day of each other, so have now been weaned together. They are so cute having a lie down together ❤️

Our little Easter 🐣 baby got big!

Grace was born on Easter weekend, is now 6 months old and has grown rather tall! I decided to keep her and am loving how she is developing, even as a foal.

Her sire is Wolter 513 and mother is our beautiful Frouke by Eibert 419
