🏫 Part Time Active Schools Co-ordinator
📍 Active Schools Team / Bertha Park High School, Perth
⏰ 22.2 hours per week (Maternity Cover, starting 7 January 2027)

In partnership with sportscotland and Perth and Kinross Council, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Active Schools team.

You’ll help provide high-quality opportunities for children and young people to take part in sport and physical activity, while creating strong leadership and volunteering pathways. A key focus is breaking down barriers and finding creative ways to engage those who would benefit most from being active.

If you have extensive experience of engaging with children and young people across education, sport or community settings, along with experience of managing volunteers, we’d be delighted to hear from you!

You should be degree-qualified (or have equivalent experience) with excellent communication skills. A full driving licence, access to a vehicle and PVG Scheme Membership are required.

We are delighted to support the development of Kinross Volleyball Club's women and girls mini-volleyball sessions!

Join in at the Loch Leven Community Campus (games hall) from Monday 26th October. These fun, social sessions run from 8 - 9 pm (first night FREE).

Sport for Change funding in action!

We were delighted to support Perth & Kinross Disability Sport on Sunday at the Women and Girls Try Sport Festival! Eight fantastic workshops from local inclusive clubs were on offer and the energy all day in the room was absolutely incredible!

BUT we definitely need more local sports clubs to get involved in supporting disability inclusion. If your club wants to welcome more participants, get in touch with us at [email protected] and we can link you towards advice and support!

Congratulations to Cathy!

What an incredible streak of volunteering in sport! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

🏆 Celebrating Cathy Clifford! 💙

Cathy Clifford was shortlisted for the Long-Standing Volunteer Award at this year’s VIPKs – but unfortunately, she was unable to make the awards night as she was busy undertaking further training!

So, rather than let her certificate go unclaimed, we took it to her at her mixed Tae Kwon Do class at Glenearn Community Campus, where she volunteers through Live Active Leisure.

Cathy wouldn’t tell us exactly how many years she’s been volunteering… but let’s just say it’s been a while! 😄

A huge congratulations to Cathy, and thank you for the time, commitment and energy you continue to give to your community. 💙
