Altea... you have stolen a little piece of my heart. ππͺπΈ
My first visit to Altea town on Saturday evening was made extra special thanks to my sister's lovely friend, Alannah, Alannah Hutton who kindly collected me, played tour guide and showed me some of her favourite places. It was the perfect introduction to this beautiful town.
Today, on my final full day, I decided to return on my own. I was rather proud to walk the 45 minutes from my hotel, ( and sweaty lol ) and wanderered through the vibrant weekly market with all its colours, local produce and wonderful atmosphere, then climbed the cobbled streets to the beautiful blue-domed church. Church
I found a quiet spot in the square for a coffee, to pause, reflect and simply be grateful. βοΈ
As I wandered through the whitewashed streets, I admired the colourful artwork, beautiful old wooden doors, flowering balconies and breathtaking views across the Mediterranean Sea . Every corner seemed to have its own story to tell.
The walk back along the seafront was the perfect ending to a truly memorable day. π
Sometimes a place isn't just somewhere you visit... it becomes a tonic for the soul. β€οΈ
Thank you, Altea, for reminding me to slow down, notice the beauty in the little things and embrace this season of life with gratitude.
And thank you, Alannah, for your kindness, generosity and friendship. You made my first visit to Altea even more special.
Hasta pronto, Alteaβ¦ I have a feeling I'll be back. πβοΈπ
