Simple Street Defence was created in 2008 to teach anyone and everyone practical self defence, what is taught is recognised by the Self Defence Federation (ASMAA-SDF), in Jan 2026 Phil celebrated the clubs 18th birthday Simple Street Defence was founded in 2008

The belief was that Self Defence could be done by anyone, but without the restrictions of what can be taught, relying on clothing to th

row with, and disregarding the traditional elements of Kata/Pattern type drills, line work, crescent step attacks, stances, etc.
