Heamoor Institute Snooker Club Heamoor Institute is a small members only Snooker Club with two very well maintained Snooker Tables.

Heamoor Institute is a Snooker Club which was founded in 1898 as a men's working institution and now currently has around 90 locally based members from in and around the Penzance region of Cornwall. The club itself is open 7 days of the week and has players with varying abilities from the beginner up to those that have played at County level. The club facilities include 2 high quality snooker tabl

es that are re-clothed generally on a bi-annual basis which gives a great experience of playing snooker on a top quality surface to its members at some of the cheapest table prices in the UK. The current annual membership fee is £15 per year (excluding £5.00 for door card when becoming a new member). Over the past 100 years this club has been very well represented in the local West Penwith and Camborne & Redruth Mining snooker leagues, and has won a significant amount of honours at team and individual level. The club itself is run by a small committee made up from the membership and welcomes anyone who is interested in joining the club to contact us for further details. If you are a good responsible person who loves snooker and are over the age of 16 then Heamoor Institute would love to see you at our club.

Following the latest government announcement. we are delighted to confirm the club will re-open to all members on Monday 17th May at 9.00am. However, as previously, members are reminded they still need to maintain social distancing, where possible, and clean all surfaces etc before commencing play. The safety of our members remains of prime importance. We look forward to new and existing members once again being able to enjoy our excellent facilities.

The club will re-open following this latest lockdown, on Wednesday 2nd December. As previously, members are reminded they still need to maintain social distancing, where possible, and clean all surfaces etc before commencing play. In addition to both tables being re-covered just prior to the lockdown, we have recently had new carpet fitted throughout the club.

As a result of the recent government ruling concerning another nationwide lockdown, regrettably the club will be closed from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause to our members. Hopefully we will see you all next month.
