Monday 4th May saw our ever popular Penzance Bowling Club Social Bowls (every Monday 6 - 8pm barring πŸŒͺβ˜ƒοΈβ›ˆοΈ πŸ˜‰) evening enjoying Australian πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί 🦘πŸͺƒπŸ¨ Pairs (2-4-2) ably organised by our lovely Jennie Whitford πŸ¦„

Great fun πŸŽ‰ was had by all and everyone who played last night has added to their own individual scores for the season.... very exciting to see who's in the lead so far πŸ‘ Remember whenever you play Australian Pairs this season you will accrue your own individual points each time you play, so don't worry if you can't be there every week you still may be the Australian Pairs Champion πŸ† of 2026 πŸ˜ƒ

Don't forget Social Bowls evening is open to everyone... members, and non members if you're interested in trying out lawn green bowling, come and join us on a Monday evening at 6pm.... bring flat shoes πŸ‘ž or trainers πŸ‘Ÿ and we'll provide the rest. We're a small friendly club and we'll give you a warm welcome πŸ™‚

Later on Sunday 3rd May Penzance Bowling Club saw Nigel Taylor face Chacewater's Colin Binny in the Bowls England Area Preliminary Round of the Senior Singles.

Another tough start 🫀 left Nigel trailing early on and, despite some strong efforts, never quite able to get back on terms losing 11-23. An instructive game played in the best of spirits πŸ™‚

Well done Colin πŸ‘ Good luck in your next round.

It was a tough afternoon for Penzance Bowling Club on Sunday 3rd May when Grampound visited for the Area Preliminary Round match in the Bowls England Club 2 Fours Competition.

While the weather held off πŸŒ₯ that was not the case for Penzance who could not hold off a strong Grampound side winning both rinks handily.

Despite the loss 😒 it was a good afternoon and all who participated enjoyed the game πŸ™‚

Well done πŸ‘ to Grampound Bowling Club and good luck in your next round.

Thank you to our intrepid 2 Fours squad for playing, we're proud of you πŸ’•

An excellent (if a touch chilly πŸ₯Ά) evening on Friday night (01.05.26) as Penzance took on Helston in the Millenium Mixed Fours.

Good games on all three rinks saw Sally’s rink stage a fighting comeback after a poor start to win her rink 18-13. Denis masterminded a comfortable win on his rink leading from the off. Nigel’s rink worked very well as a team in a close fought match only decided on the last couple of ends with a 17-13 win.

The overall score of 53-39 sees Penzance progress to the Group 1 Semi-Final against either Camborne or Penlee later in the season.

Thank you Helston for a great evening of competitive bowling played in exactly the right spirit πŸ’•

Well done πŸŽŠπŸ‘πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰ Penzance on a good win πŸ†
