Well done to this awesome bunch who all graded to 4th Mon today. They demonstrated a really high standard of knowledge and ability, and proved that hard work pays off.

Congratulations to all of our karate students who successfully graded today. The standard demonstrated was very high.

Wear those new belts with pride, but be sure to also honour your new belt by continuing to work hard.

This morning, we held a class specifically for our Blue Belt students, in preparation for their forthcoming gradings in a month or so’s time.

Everyone worked very well, and we got loads covered!

I was today able to donate all of the money that our amazing students raised, to go towards Anna’s wheelchair adaption costs.

I did try to donate it under “Cornwall Karate” but unfortunately it defaulted to my personal name instead.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to get our mats out in advance of class this week, so we'll be training with no mats this week.

For this reason, students are welcome to wear shoes while they train this week (in fact, I'd recommend they do).

All we'd ask is that you check the soles are relatively clean, and dry. In particular, we'd ask students to please not wear shoes which they have just worn outdoors in wet/muddy conditions.

On a different note, a very quick reminder for students to try their best to bring in any money pledged for last week's fundraising event, so I can get that paid over this weekend. Thanks again to everyone who was able to fundraise.

60,000... yes, that's right... well, actually just over 60,000! That's how many kicks our students collectively did on Friday (no wonder it took us a while to add them all up!).

Anyone with tired legs is well and truly justified! 🤣

I'll be individually emailing all of our students later with the count-up of how many kicks they did, but - regardless of that - the effort was outstanding!
