WOW!! I actually can’t put into words just how proud I am of these 4 boys this weekend! I often get asked why I started an Academy so far out in the sticks and these boys right here plus all the younger lads coming through are the reason we do it!
24 weeks of consistently good scores in their JDC routine to secure a spot in the top 64 England rankings is a huge achievement and I’m super proud of every one of you!
Saturday Morning Academy Masters unfortunately saw Joe, Logan and Leo go out first round but they all played great games. Jack played some cracking darts and went on to win the event 6-3.
Saturday afternoon was Nations Cup qualifiers, Again Joe and Leo played awesome darts both winning their first games before narrowly losing out in the 32. Jack stormed through the 64 and 32 but gave me us more grey hairs going 4-1 down in the 16 before playing an absolute blinder and pulling it back to win 5-4 and secure his spot in the England Nations Cup team in Scotland next month.
Sunday England B World Cup Qualifiers.
Round Robin groups of 8.
Joe won 5 out of 7 group games (even after being delayed by a nose bleed 🤣) to finish 3rd in his group.
Leo won 3 out of 7 to finish 5th in his group narrowly missing out on a knock out place by 1 leg .
Logan and Jack both won 7 out of 7 to finish top of their groups.
Knock out stages Joe reached the 32 before his run came to an end .
Logan and Jack carried on through the 32,16, and 8 with some severe nail biting moments before both earning their Shirts for the England B World Cup Team with Jack being given the captaincy!!
Leo finished 11th in the England order of merit earning himself his World Championship spot in Gibraltar!
To say I’m proud of these boys is a massive understatement, I can’t express just how proud we are , our Academy maybe small but it’s definitely mighty!!!
