We nominated Matt Barton and his team for the Cornwall FA Grassroots Football Grounds Team of the Year Award because of the incredible work they have put into keeping the pitch at St Buryan playable all season. We've experienced a particularly wet winter but not one single game has had to be postponed at St Buryan for the mens team, ladies, supervets or youth which is an amazing achievement.
Additional to the pitch maintenance, Matt has also developed the grounds by installing advertising boards and dugouts giving it a more professional feel.
Marking out, erecting goals and maintaining a new 7-a-side pitch alongside the main pitch has also been a very popular addition, used by the teams and locals regularly.
Sadly Matt didn't get shortlisted but we'd like to thank him and his team for all their hard work this and every season enabling us to be able to train and play at St Buryan.

Sian and I would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who donated to our fundraiser either online or in our bucket!

We are delighted to say we were able to donate £416.69 to Coppafeel, a charity dedicated to promoting early detection of breast cancer in young people (18–24).
CoppaFeel! specifically aims to bridge the gap in knowledge among young people, acknowledging that a quarter of them do not realize they are at risk of breast cancer.
