Yesterday afternoon, we had the pleasure of welcoming Richard Uren of Penzance Canoe Club to NCI Gwennap Head where he presented Deputy Station Manager Simon with a cheque for £150. The money was raised from donations at the most recent West Cornwall Sea Kayak meet, an annual event, hosted by Penzance Canoe Club, that attracts over 100 sea kayaks from across the UK.
We are a voluntary organisation supported solely by your donations (all our watchkeepers are unpaid volunteers who receive no expenses) and our annual running costs are approximately £5,000. That being the case, this very kind donation is much appreciated and Helps Us to Keep Watching Out For You.
