Ludgvan Football Club Ludgvan FC, known as 'The Hurlers', is an English football club based in Ludgvan, Cornwall, near Penzance.

The club plays its home matches at Ludgvan Community Centre (Fairfield) and comprises two men's teams and one women's team.

🤝 Welcome Chris Curnow 🤝

We're delighted to announce that Chris Curnow is stepping into the 1st Team management team this season! Chris will work directly alongside cousin, Andrew Curnow, and Director of Football Anthony Hosking as the first team looks to build on their recent successes.

A vital part of our St Piran League Division 1 West title-winning side last season, Chris remains a massive figure in the dressing room and brings invaluable experience into the dugout.

Chris replaces the departing Matt Howes. We place on record our sincere thanks to Matt for his immense hard work over the last two seasons - he will be sorely missed by everyone at the club, and we wish him the absolute best.

Last night we had our annual awards evening at the Union Hotel, celebrating the successes of all three teams this season!

The Ladies took home their first-ever trophy - the Division 1 Cup; the Men’s First Team more than held their own after promotion to Premier West; and the Reserves finished in 3rd place in their very first season in the league.

Ludgvan 🟡🟢 3-1 🔵🔴 Wendron

The ladies started strong, with Sophie Bonell sprinting from the halfway line into the box and slotting it perfectly behind the keeper.

The girls weren’t done there, and Jodie Gardner found herself in front of goal where she fancied one herself.

The chances kept coming and Jodie Gardner once again ploughed through the middle and sent the ball into the left corner.

Half-time: 3-0

Wendron came out strong in the second half and there were plenty of chances for both teams. Wendron looked dangerous on the counter and eventually found their striker one-on-one with the keeper to pull one back.

The girls never stopped battling and kept pushing for another goal right until the final whistle, but unfortunately couldn’t find the net again.

Full-time: 3-1 💛💚

🏅 POTM – Jodie Gardner (with her Guinness trophy) An absolute menace in the middle, playing numerous smart balls to the wingers and strikers while constantly finding herself in dangerous positions.

💩 DOTD – Katie Barker
Once again, her own high standards let her down. We were expecting about 8 goals today, but she somehow couldn’t find the net once. Hat-trick next week to make up for it 👀
