Strength and Mobility Training combines active range-of-motion exercises to improve joint health, stability, and muscle strength.
Slow controled movement, reducing injury risk, and enhancing functional performance.

Key Concepts and Benefits
Active Range of Motion: Mobility requires control over your joints.

Injury Prevention: Improving mobility allows joints to move freely and absorb force better, lowering injury risks during intense training.

Improved Performance: Enhanced mobility improves posture and allows for better technique in compound lifts (e.g., deeper squats).

Strength & Function: It builds muscle in stretched positions, which increases functional strength for daily activities.

As we wave good buy to 2025 it got me thinking........what is the number one reason people exercise?

My number 1 reason to exercise is to look after my physical and mental health! β˜ΊοΈπŸ’œ

Physical activity helps bump up the production of your brain's feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins. This is often referred to as a runner's high but any aerobic activity, such as a game of tennis or a nature hike, can contribute to this same feeling! Most important thing is to get moving and do something you enjoy!!!πŸ™Œ

30 minutes of physical activity a day is all you need to feel the benefits! πŸ’ͺ
(A quick 30 min workout before work is a great way to set yourself up for the day ahead)

A dynamic class that combines Pilates principles with S&C to build a blend of functional strength, core stability, and endurance, reducing injury risk and improving performance.

It is a full-body, challenging workout that targets both the deep stabilizing muscles and larger muscle groups through controlled movements.
** Builds functional strength:** By combining Pilates with S&C, the body learns to move with greater precision and power, transferring force more effectively from the core to the limbs.
Targets smaller muscle group and supplementary muscles that are not as heavily engaged in traditional S&C workouts, helping to reduce muscular imbalances and lower the risk of injury

Strength and conditioning pilates is a blend of strength training, dynamic movements and controlled stretching. Designed for active individuals, this class focuses on improving functional strength, power, balance and flexibility to boost performance whilst minimising risk of injury!

About me -

β€œHi, I am a mum of two and an experienced personal trainer, pilates instructor and nutritional advisor. I am passionate about health and fitness and believe exercise is the key to a healthy body and mind! My main hobbies include trail running, and strength training. I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others to help them reach their goals!

I first started with having Pilates lessons with Janet, I enjoyed them and they really helped me with my mobility and back issues I’ve had for over 20 years. I have been having PT sessions for 8 months now and I love them, Janet is fab friendly and really tailors to your individual needs. She often has to think about impact on my back and changes stuff up to help protect and strengthen it. I have come so far in my strength and flexibility. I have now started running again something I couldn’t have done 8 months ago. Janet is super personable and gets me to work hard without being a task master. Couldn’t recommend her enough.
