🚨 Ankle update 🚨
After 10 weeks, I've finally been released from the boot and upgraded to this stylish brace. Fashion icon status pending. 😎
I've also been given the green light to drive again, short distances only, and under strict instructions not to overdo it. Apparently I can't be trusted with my own ankle. 😅
The downside is they've confirmed there's something going on with the peroneal tendons, so next up is an ultrasound scan to see what's happening when I move my foot.
I'm still not cleared to return to athletics yet, which is probably the hardest part, but hopefully I'm one step closer to getting back on the track.
Back on 15th July for the next verdict. Surgery is still a possibility, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
For now, I'm celebrating the little wins: boot-free, back driving, and moving in the right direction. 🎉🚗

Feel free to share this post far and wide.

After experiencing my first anaphylactic episode over the weekend, I've decided to make it my mission to raise as much awareness as possible.

Anaphylaxis is something that isn't often talked about in everyday life, and many people don't realise just how serious and life-threatening it can be until it happens to them or someone they love.

Before this weekend, I never truly understood how quickly a severe allergic reaction could become a medical emergency. It was one of the most frightening experiences of my life and has completely changed my perspective.

Over the coming days and weeks, I'll be sharing more information about my experience, the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and why greater awareness could one day save a life.

Whilst I'm incredibly grateful to be recovering physically, I'm also learning that the emotional impact doesn't simply disappear once the immediate danger has passed. Experiencing anaphylaxis has left me processing a lot mentally, and I know I'm not alone in that.

The psychological effects, anxiety, and trauma that can follow a severe allergic reaction deserve just as much recognition and understanding as the physical symptoms. This is something that often goes unnoticed, but it can have a significant impact on people's lives long after the physical symptoms have passed.

Please help me spread awareness by sharing this post. You never know who might benefit from learning more about this condition.

Ankle update:

For the first time in a long while, I actually felt listened to. The consultant agreed that something isn’t quite right, and we finally have a working theory.
It looks like the channel behind my outer ankle bone where the peroneal tendons sit is much shallower than it should be. Because of that, the tendons might be twisting or moving around inside the groove instead of staying in place. That could explain all the snapping, catching and weird movement sensations I’ve been dealing with recently.
They’re now taking my case to an MDT (multidisciplinary team) and getting all my scans and X‑rays from 2018 right up to now reviewed by a specialist ankle radiologist. They want a full picture of what’s been happening over the years before deciding on the next steps.
I’ve got another appointment in six weeks, and by then they should have a clearer idea of what’s causing the problem and what treatment might look like.
It’s not a final diagnosis yet, but it is reassuring to finally have people taking it seriously and investigating it properly. At least now there’s a possible explanation for what I’ve been feeling.

I’ve been seen in fracture clinic and I’m now in a boot while I wait for an urgent MRI to get a clearer picture.
At the moment, they’re querying a possible partial tear in both the Achilles tendon and the peroneal tendons, but nothing is confirmed yet. I’ve also had ongoing instability in the ankle for a while, which may need a surgical fix and it’s now looking like that could happen sooner than originally planned.
Based on the initial assessment, it’s looking unlikely that I’ll be competing again this year which is an absolute shame.
For now it’s a case of resting up, staying in the boot, and waiting for results.
Not the outcome I was hoping for, but hopefully this gets everything sorted properly long-term.

But hey at least I have a boot that fits 😂

2026… paused ⏸️💔

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m dealing with a possible partial Achilles rupture 😔🦵

Gutted doesn’t even cover it — especially with Cardiff next week and being in the best shape of my life 🔥🏃‍♂️

But this isn’t the end… just a reset 🔄
Time to repair, rebuild, and come back stronger 💪⚡

⏳ Time is a healer… and everything happens for a reason 🚀

So today’s competition didn’t quite go how I expected, but not in a bad way.
For the first time ever, I’ve hit a personal best in my very first outdoor competition of the season.
After chasing 14 metres in the discus for a long time… today was finally the day.
14.90m on my first throw, going from 13.82 in 2024 to this. A 1m 8cm PB 🤯
What a way to open the season.
Shot didn’t quite bring a PB today, but it’s coming, I wasn’t far off.
Bring on tomorrow and the rest of the season.
The video below is the throw that got the PB… don’t ask how I stayed in the circle 😂

Today marks the start of the outdoor season and my first competition.
New club, back on home turf, and trying to leave the past behind me.
The last few years haven’t been easy, but this year is about getting myself back and pushing for those distances again.
Honestly, how this season goes will depend on my future in athletics… but being back home, surrounded by the support of my mum and dad, means more than I can put into words.
Just taking it one step at a time and hoping for a better season 🤍
