Congratulations to our new Cho Dan, Mr. Jeffrey Evans, who was presented with his well earned and deserved Cho Dan Black Belt yesterday.

Congratulations to Mr Jeff Evans who passed his 1st pre-test. He has one further pre-test to take before being eligible to test for for Cho Dan Black Belt. Covid -19 has certainly been a test of endurance for all those students like Mr Evans, prevented from testing during the last 2 years.

FREE to a good home. We have 1 new, unworn except to try on - size 1/140 Silver Blitz plain white Tournament 14 oz, pre shrunk 100% cotton suit. It's FREE, although we would ask that you consider making a small donation (whatever amount, however small), which wIll go to either Macmillan Cancer Support and or to the ITF UK. We also have some other items that can no longer be stored, which we will also be offering under the same conditions (free for a donation). If anyone is interetsted, please get in touch or more details.

Due to the current rate of rapid increase in Covid cases and the number of COVID 19 hospitalized patients in the Cwm Taf, Swansea Bay & Aneurin Bevan health Board Hospitals, it was decided that last night's class would be our last class of 2020. In order to keep your families safe over the Christmas period, please minimise your contact with others over the next 9 days and if you have to meet your family, follow Public Health Wales regulations if you have to get together https://gov.wales/making-christmas-bubble-friends-and-family
We will not be able to re-start classes in 2021 until at least the last week of January, or until such time as the post-Christmas all Wales lockdown has ended. We will announce any re-opening on our FB page. So have a happy but safe Christmas everyone!

They've finished renewing the lights at the Village Hall, so we can have class now tomorrow Wed 2nd. Can students please confirm if they want to have a class after all so we can let the caretaker know. Classes are still only open for a very limited number of existing students I'm afraid and we are not taking on any new students for the forseeable future due to Covid 19 restrictions.

Class at Hirwaun will re-start this Wednesday 6-7pm & is only open for the students who were training before the last Firebreak Lockdown. Don't forget you MUST wear a facemask to enter and leave the building!

If there was anyone interested in resuming class next Wed Nov 11th, I'm afraid Sa Bom Nim can't make that day now. If there is anyone wanting to resume week Wednesday 18th Nov, please can you let Sa Bom Nim if you wish / do not wish to restart, so that she can book the hall or let them know that we are suspending classes until further notice. Hirwaun Village Hall is re-opening next week after the Firebreak Lockdown ends. Please can all current students who are interested in resuming class confirm if they wish to resume training, so that Sa Bom Nim can assess the feasibility of re-starting. We will only have space for a maximum of 5 students.

Same applies to Tang Soo Do. To never retreat in battle and always finish what you start, just remember this..........

The temptation to quit will be strongest shortly after you've begun, and just before you finish. If you're aware of it, you can avoid it.

The reason for this is simple: When you start, it can be overwhelming and much harder than you expected. Likewise, when you are near the end, you are exhausted and need the grit to finish the job.
