More history today as the Ladies won in the Women's FA Cup.

The ladies had a trip to Cheshire facing competition debutants Winsford Town.

A fantastic result and perfornance saw the ladies run out 6-0 winners with goals from Robyn (2), Becca (2), Jess N and Jessica W. We also had 2 sisters in the team with Robyn joined by sister Chloe in the team.

The reward is an away tie vs Rochdale in September.

The ladies are kindly sponsored by local business Lolipops_Lancashire.

'Harry'

Its with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Harry Sandells on 29th June 2026. Aged 58 years.

Beloved husband of Cath. Much loved Dad, Step-Dad, Grandad and Brother.

Harry will be deeply missed by everyone who had the great privilege of knowing him.

A service to celebrate Harry's life will be held at St Marys Parish Church, Goosnargh on 16th July 2026 at 10.30am followed by a private interment.

In honour of Harry's love of PNE the family would welcome those attending to wear some blue and white, if they are able.

Harry Sandells

It is with great sadness that the club have to mourn the passing of a legend in Harry Sandells, ('H').

After a short time in hospital H left us yesterday and in doing so has left a huge void in all our hearts. H was a well loved and well know character in local footballing circles. Playing for his beloved Preston North End as a youngster, was a dream come true and he remained a life long supporter.

H played in the local non leagues and only hung up his boots a few years ago, playing when the team was short! The photo shows H's retirement, a memorable day with the lads at the club, in fact one of many.

H's time with Penwortham Town FC was one of great success for his teams and himself personally. Cup final wins, league title wins and a Lancashire FA Coach of the Year was just recognition for his dedication to his teams. Players of his, the opposition and managers alike had huge respect for him and rightfully so, no one put more effort it to his love than H. A Husband, Father and more recently a Grandfather, he will be missed by many.

RIP Jim.

Thoughts are with his family and all at Kingsfold Juniors at this sad time. 💜🤍

Kingsfold’s Juniors Football Club and families are deeply saddened to share the passing of Jim Patten.

Jim was a lovely person and friend to many of us. Although expected his death has been difficult. Kingsfold JFC’s community has lost a great friend.

Jim leaves behind the legacy of a small club, that he started as one team. Jim has been instrumental in developing the club further onto four teams.

A greater legacy is Jim’s approach to grassroots football. Football available to everyone. An inclusive club, support for those less fortunate and strictly non-profit.

Thank you Jim Patten, you are remembered fondly by the Kingsfold families past and present. 💜🕊️
