Afternoon farm riders

We have had rain so the ground is looking great again.

Our next and last ride for 2026 is Sunday the 13th September.

We have lots of spaces available. If you would like to come and ride around 6 miles of farm fields with optional jumps get booked on. We also have an extra 4 mile look over the fell for those who enjoy going further.

Bookings are taken via Horse Monkey. Where a deposit is taken to secure your ride place.

Not long until our final ride of 2026

We thought it may be the last 😱 but the show will go on. We have a new parking field planned for next year's rides. We have to alter a couple of things so need to have this winter to put them in place.

Now we are happy that we can continue we can bring back our raffle which has raised money for the GNAAS over the last 9/10 years of farm rides. We plan to make this a bit simpler. All riders will receive a raffle ticket when they arrive as part of the entry fee.

The winning ticket at the end of the day will get to come back and ride for free at a future ride of their choice.

The 2nd place ticket will get a free meal off the catering trailer. Our food is not just any ordinary food. It's the best food!!

We will start the raffle again at this next ride in September.

Please book onto the ride via Horse Monkey. Limited ride spaces due to insurance and licenses so don't leave it too late to book on.

Good afternoon farm riders

We might get some much needed rain! How many are doing rain dances in the hope we get a little?

Although the ground is dry we have good grass cover on many fields. At least you won't be pulling shoes off 🙈😂

We have put all the jumps out but please be careful as not all horses and ponies are happy to be jumped on dry ground. This is absolutely at riders discretion

I am busy baking cakes.

Lemon drizzle and brownie are out of the oven. School cake has just gone in.

I have Wagyu burgers, Pulled Wagyu Brisket. Pork & leek sausages, bacon brie and cranberry, Wagyu chilli nachos all on the menu.

Don't forget to bring plenty of cash as signal is terrible so our card machine won't work in the parking field. All riders are to pay the remaining money on the gate and don't forget to visit the catering trailer.

We have a great team of photographers again tomorrow. Please don't be shy at asking for photos. The team would rather capture what you want than not at all. You are welcome to go over jumps again if you feel you have been missed. They do their very best to get all riders but at busy times it can be difficult. They won't mind one bit being asked.

Please follow the one way system down to the parking field. Turn off the sat nav once you pick up the 1st sign. The best way to get to us is via Shap then head to Bampton and Haweswater. The one way system is to help you arriving as we have riders arriving and leaving throughout the day.

2 weeks until our July farm ride.

Sunday 26th July riders set off from 9am-2pm

6 mile loop around the farm fields with optional jumps. 4 mile extra loop via the bridleway on the fell.

So many of our fields have been mown and the grass taken off.

The cantering and gallop areas are going to be amazing for you all.

Don't forget to book in via Horse Monkey. Spaces are filling up.

We have a team of photographer's and caterers.

What a fabulous way to spend a day with your friends and horses 🐎 🐎🐎🐎
