This fascinating webinar invited us to re-examine our relationship with horses -exploring how we can better safeguard their well-being, understand their needs more clearly, and recognise the vital role coaches play in shaping attitudes and behaviours.

British Driving Society has recently updated its Code of Conduct, and it’s essential reading for anyone involved in carriage driving.

In this thoughtful article, ( ) Antonia Gallop, who was closely involved in the review, explores the real-world issues that societies, committees and volunteers increasingly face. From evolving equipment and event environments to shifting social attitudes and expectations, she explains why long-standing documents must be revisited to protect safety, welfare and good practice in today’s climate.

Clear guidelines aren’t about red tape—they’re about supporting members, safeguarding volunteers, and ensuring our sport remains fair, respectful and fit for the future.

Amazing Opportunity!

US Equestrian is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 USEF Combined Driving Chef d’Equipe Apprentice Program, an initiative designed to identify talented individuals with the potential to be developed into future Chef d’Equipe positions.

The selected Apprentice will work alongside the Chef d’Equipe, supporting a variety of tasks to gain first-hand experience with a deeper understanding of the responsibilities required of a Chef d’Equipe at a Championship.
